“Great house, beautifully decorated with everything you could need for a great getaway. Lots of stairs though being across 4 floors so not for those less mobile which was fine for us. House has high ceilings throughout other than the basement kitchen/diner (which is beautiful) but my 6ft4 sons head touched the ceiling which we laughed about! Beds are really comfortable and better quality than we have ever had in a rental. Lots of lovely extra touches like tea, coffee, cereal, washing products……

“Really enjoyed our long weekend here. Good spot in the countryside while obly being a short walk from the lub and short drive from Kendal and lots of natoional trust properties. Plenty warm enough. Only just had 6 sets of kitchenware so felt we were constantly washing up, which was the obly minor downside. ”

"The location is great and nearby the ferry pier. But the hotel is not in good maintenance at room, the toilet ceiling have a lot of dirty water marks, it looked disgusting. I booked a lakeview room that cost £250 a night, but not worth it, the room is really dilapidated, even they don't have a refrigerator at room, I needed to keep my birthday cake in their restaurant. The room price wss including the breakfast but it was lack of choice, they serve breakfast until 10:30 am, when I ordered scrambling egg with smoked salmon toast, they said no more but I saw other customers have it, I thought smoked salmon and egg are very common foods in a hotel restaurant, I wondered why they can tell me no more stocks. I just can say this hotel not worth for money, they are overpriced. Staffs are not really friendly. "
