Three groups gathered here from Europe, Asia, and the USA. The location was convenient and private, the view was magnificent, and the lodge was lovely. Plenty of room for 9 people (three families). The location was very convenient for Bend and Sisters and we ventured as far as Newberry volcano and the Painted Hills for day trips.
The architecture and furnishings of the lodge were warm, welcoming, and overall memorable. The Great Room is a standout.
Mornings and evenings were spent on the front porch with spectacular panoramic views all the way from Bachelor to Mt Washington, with the Three Sisters front and center. It was also a great location for evening stargazing.
The back porch has plenty of room for family meals together.
All the necessary basics are provided including some extras like toiletries and all were high quality.
There are updates and a some TLC needed to the building. The kitchen is dated, the showers drip, the upstaits water/plumbing thumps regularly, but overall these are minor and did not detract from our stay. There is road noise for most of the day from Highway 20, but again not a major issue unless you have windows open or are in the yard. There is no cable TV, but the WiFi worked well enough for streaming, although we really didn't spend much time on this.
Overall a memorable experience and we strongly recommend Juniper Acres.
