“The remote peacefulness of this location was amazing. Rustic isn't a valued word anymore. Wildly fun to sit on the patio of the cabin and just listen to nature and the rainfall, my gosh! We walked trails, played rounds of games in the gaming cabin. Swam and jumped off that pontoon a dozen or so times. The paddle boards were great too! We totally plan to go back and have already been making plans to see the Happy Farm family again!”

“While we were in the middle of nowhere, it was still great. We kind of expect middle of no where when we visit family in Wappapello! The house was absolutely adorable and they had everything there for us! We booked it for Christmas, and the day after it was booked the owner called to ask if we wanted a Christmas tree and decorations. I was stunned and absolutely thrilled. We definitely weren’t expecting to have decorations but it was wonderful! We definitely want to go back on our next visit!”

“We traveled to Advance for a long weekend to view the total solar eclipse. Host provided excellent instructions for arrival. Every room was as described. Nice decor - including vintage duck decoys. Grocery shopping was nearby. We had a delicious meal and delicious drinks at El Mexicano restaurant. There were Subway and McDonald’s fast food options nearby as well.”

“A beautiful, spacious three-bedroom home. All the comforts including a fully equipped kitchen, but away from the hustle and bustle. I spent much of an afternoon lounging out back among the trees and listening to the birds. Then in the evening, I could listen to the chirps of the frogs. The hosts provided just the right level of communication - not intrusive, but enough to be sure I didn't need anything. And if you're not completely disconnecting, the provided internet service was more than……

“We loved it here!!! There is a very nice swimming beach with a giant lake and boat ramp in walking distance; we went swimming and watched the eclipse!!! Absolutely phenomenal view at the lake, and the kitchen was very, very convenient if you want to save money and not eat out for every meal. The owner responds to texts instantly, too!”

“Cabin was exactly as pictured. Very comfortable for a short to medium stay, house was extremely clean when we got there. Owner was very quick to respond and was able to make arrangements for us. Will be coming back!”

“The old house was charming. It could benefit from a really good, deep clean. The bathrooms and beds/linens were very clean and the kitchen was functional. We didn't use the outdoor area but it was nice and well suited to a comfortable place to hang out on a nice day. The town has food and necessity shopping available and easily accessible. Overall we were pleased with our overnight stay. ”
