“Wantara is a little haven in the city--- unique gardens, tastefully designed apartments (they thought of everything---including really comfy down pillows and duvets), and a good location with easy access to historic Quito. But the real treasures are the hosts. Both Wolfgang and Yannick were not only hosts but instant friends looking our for us---there to help navigate the city and give us great advice about how to best spend our time. Yannick gave us his WhatsApp and more than once helped get us……

“We loved our week in Quito. Yannik, Gina, Wolfgang and Annemarie answered all of our questions about where to go and what to see. They arranged a driver (Cristobal - 5 stars!) to take us to see places outside of the city and made sure we got back from the soccer game safely! With everything going on in Ecuador, we never felt unsafe on our trip. Thank you!”

“From the moment we walked through the doors at Wantara Suites we felt like we were home!! It’s close enough to everything (or a 10 minute taxi ride) but yet it feels like you’re staying in a cottage surrounded by a beautiful garden. I seriously can’t say enough about this property!! From the owners Wolfgang & his always smiling wife to Claudia (the property manager) everyone was super welcoming & they felt like family to us!! I would stay here again & again!!! ”

“We stayed in Suite Luna at Wantara. The pics were very accurate, the suite was exceptionally clean, the outdoor areas were a quiet oasis in the city, and the gated entrance felt very secure. We enjoyed the bakery at the top of the street and the dining suggestions from Marcelo. It was only a short walk 10 mins walk to old town or a $2.00 cab ride. Cheers, David & JoAnne”

“Location is OK in the old town. I have booked a private room and they give me a dorm room with 8 beds and only me in the room. The Wifi is not good in my room. I need to sit at the corridor to connect the wifi.”
