The weather was cold and rainy so we spent a good portion of the time playing cribbage at the dining table and enjoying the time together inside. The first night, I wondered if my 85 year old father would get cold. However, the house is insulated nicely from both the cold and traffic noise. I liked the separate thermastats because we could make his room warm and keep the other bedroom cool for us. The cottage is adorable and right next to a cafe that you can walk to for breakfast and coffee. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was nicely stocked with cooking items, spices, oil etc. Yes it’s close to the highway but pretty much every house in that area is close to the highway and it didn’t bother us. I had small children with me and they also had a lot of fun. It was very convenient to have a washer and dryer as well! All the vintage charm was cozy and inviting. It is an older somewhat dated house but very clean and well appointed with some updates. The house was cozy and cute. It is situated close to the main road and other houses but we always felt safe and road noise wasn't a big issue. It was perfect for our visit to the area. It was very clean and the perfect size for our small family. We appreciated the water bottles and coffee that was left out for us. The kitchen had all the items we needed and we were able to make some of our meals there instead of going out to eat for every meal.
