Must have been great in its heyday but it is quite run down now. Still the room was clean and there was plenty of hot water and the beds were comfortable, so it’s got the essentials!

Pros: Clean, updated basic bathroom, newer comfortable bed, fairly new vinyl wood flooring. Close walking to a grocery, McDonalds, Family Dollar. Easy walking distance to Brown County Music Center. Microwave. AC was a window unit, but newer,and worked great. Front Desk very helpful on check in. Cons: deadbolt couldn't be locked from the outside, but did work from the inside. Doorknob lock worked fine. Television was basic cable with a fuzzy and snowy picture, but sound was ok. Still watchable for what it was. I didn't try the internet. Some electrical sockets were loose and failed to power a phone charger.

Don't let the parking lot dissuade you, the lot is rough, but spacious. The outside of building is worn, inside is tidy. There is no elevator, so take the steps, or first floor room. The rooms are basic hotel retro; clean neat, hot water, good t.v., the king size bed was good too! If you are going to the concert venue, it's next store, 5 minute walk! This is not a mint on the pillow type place, but a great value for a 1-2 nighter. (Mc Donalds across the lot)

Don’t judge a book by its cover. The Salt Creek in has been around for awhile but our room was recently remodeled and everything was immaculately clean. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is very dated which we knew, but it looks like they are going to be renovating soon. It was within walking distance to the concert venue and priced reasonably so we booked it. Room was okay, there was dust on the nightstand upon entering and the carpet is just old and dirty looking. There are no plugs on either side of the bed which is inconvenient. No iron or ironing board so if you need to iron clothes before a concert or whatever, you’re out of luck. Also no blow dryer so make sure to bring your own if you are going to wash your hair. The shower didn’t work properly so water filled the tub as you showered. The bed was comfortable though so that’s a plus. It was okay for the short time we were there, but I wouldn’t stay there for a longer trip.
