Fantastic!

Great stay! The layout of the home was perfect for giving our family space to spread out while still feeling connected. The home was clean and updated. Pool area wasn’t used very much, we did pay for heating but it didn’t get quite warm enough to be comfortable with temps in the 70s. Host was extremely responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Clean home, good community

We enjoyed staying in this clean, well equipped home! Scott was very responsive. I liked that we can take the community shuttle for beach. My kid especially enjoyed the private pool as well as community pools. Highly recommend!

Peaceful and serene

Enjoyed the nicely furnished and well equipped home that met all our needs. Felt safe and secure and the community was peaceful and friendly. Pet friendly walks enjoyed. In addition the close proximity of grocery store made it easy for forgotten items.

Great family getaway

Little Birdie was the perfect spot for our family getaway. It was very clean and so tastefully decorated. We also took advantage of some of the amenities for the Currituck Club which was great. We played pickle ball, basketball and went to the pool. The garage had everything you would need for the beach (chairs, umbrellas, games) or pool (floats, noodles). That is a huge plus when car space is at a premium. It was also great that we could bring our dog on our vacation and did not need to find a pet sitter. The location of the home was tucked away in a really cute section of the neighborhood. All of the landscaping is very pretty. The pool is shaded for a good part of the day, so if you want to be in the sun you can sit on the deck (or go to the beach!) It does back up to hwy 12 so there’s a bit of road noise outside. But overall we loved it and had a great time.

Great house, definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful time. The home is clean, spacious, well stocked and just as pictured. We appreciated the pool toys, beach chairs and boogie boards that were included. Scott is extremely responsive and was a pleasure to communicate with. Definitely recommend this property!

Little Birdie Review

In general we enjoyed our time at Little Birdie. The interior space was very nice and met our needs. Pool area and decks/furniture could use some attention. Scott was a very attentive host. It was our first time staying in Corolla and we enjoyed all that Corolla and Little Birdie neighborhood had to offer. Family indicated they would like to stay in that area next year again!

To access the beach either take the shuttle or rent golf carts like we did family loved riding back to beach house in the caets. Property manager was great got back to us fast with any questions we had.

Family Getaway in May

We would (and likely will) definitely return! Rental was perfect for our family. Even in slightly chilly May, enjoyed the private back yard with pool and the location! Also enjoyed the Currituck club amenities (tennis, weight room) and the proximity to grocery store, shopping and food! Scott (property owner) was very communicative and house was very clean and well stocked :)

Great getaway

We went for a long weekend with our two teens and another family. The house is great with all the amenities you could ask for, including a well stocked kitchen, beach equipment, and a great pool and back yard. Plenty of room to spread out and not feel crowded. Scott was super responsive and an amazing host. We would definitely stay again!

Relaxing visit to Corolla

House and golf neighborhood was very nice and clean. We came too early in the season and most restaurants were closed still. It was nice having the neighborhood and beach (and roads) mostly too ourselves.

Great house - we'd love to return!

We rented this house for an off-season long weekend and loved it. Spacious, great layout, very clean, and the owner was perfectly ok with our small dog joining us! Multiple decks and patio furniture to enjoy the sun!

Birthday Celebration!

I've been telling anyone who will listen about the awesome time I had during my recent trip to Corolla. This beautiful property was a major factor in that experience (we also saw 30 horses on our tour and horses when we ventured out on our own). Everything is exactly as described (if not better). The kitchen was well stocked with all of the dishes, pans, etc. we needed. The sitting areas were comfortable and family friendly board and card games were available. Our first night, the sky was so clear and the stars were so bright, my sister, nephew and I stood on one of several decks and star gazed...we easily spotted the big and little dipper. The best part was the ease of communication with Scott. No matter the question, I always received a response within minutes. We visited Corolla to celebrate my dad's 75th birthday. He said it was his best birthday so far and he's already talking about returning!!

Great Family Vacation Home - Lots of Amenities

My family had a great time staying here, enjoyed the Currituck Clubhouse Beach immensely, especially having the Valet service available to ferry belongings from the parking lot to the beach. We also enjoyed the pool after beach time, although we would probably opt for heating the pool for the next go around since it is shaded in the late afternoon. The trolley stop is quite convenient, right outside the door, and they run pretty frequently. Lots of other amenities available as well with 3 Community Pools, Tennis, Basketball etc. The house had plenty of room for everyone with four bedrooms, and ample space to relax and unwind. We enjoyed dining outside on the screened in porch overlooking the front of the house, and the back deck overlooking the pool area was lovely to view the sunrise with morning coffee. The kitchen was quite well furnished for all your cooking needs, plenty of amenities. Lots of games for the kids to play as well. Convenient to food shopping with a Harris Teeter just outside the gated community and a Food Lion not far away. Check-in was easy and communication was great making our stay quite enjoyable.

Great House...Dog Friendly with all Currituck Club Amenities

My family and dogs enjoyed staying here. Communication was great. Checking in was easy. The home is in a nice neighborhood at the end of a cul de sac, which is a good spot for riding bikes. There is a small, private pool in the backyard, which we used every day. It was 90 plus degrees every day and cooling off in the private pool was wonderful. The house was comfortable and clean, with three bedrooms on the first floor and the master bedroom on the second, next to the living room and kitchen. One the second floor, there is a screened-in porch overlooking the front yard, and another upstairs porch overlooking the pool for sunbathing. On the first floor there is a nice long covered porch leading to the pool. We rented a golf cart, which I recommend. This made traveling to and from the Currituck Club, and to the beach, more fun than driving by car. Of course, there is a great looking golf course, but we did not play. My kids enjoyed the gym, basketball courts and pools at the Club. There is a Harris Teeter grocery store, ice cream shop, Duck Donuts and restaurants all within the same community, just a golf cart ride away. Overall, I highly recommend this home and we would definitely go back.

summer family beach vaca

Our week in Corolla was excellent, especially due to our stay at this property. Everything was in perfect shape and excellent condition. The owner communicated well with us and made everything great. The only difficulty was having to use the shuttle bus system to get to/from the beach. Not bad, but not as convenient as walking.

A Diamond in the "Rough" (Golf Course Community)

Diamonds are rated by 4 C's -- our stay at this home in The Currituck Club is no exception. C --Clean; C -- Comfortable C-- Convenient ; C-- Communication. I had never gone through VRBO previously, but if Scott Hraska is representative of other owners I would not hesitate to rent a vacation home through it in the future. Great communication with us and an immediate response to any problem we encountered no matter how minor. In addition, many amenities available including Community Pool, Tennis, and Group Activities. Looking forward to renting this lovely home in 2023 for a longer time frame.
