Oceanfront with historic beauty | 25lb limit for pets
This was an absolute beautifully decorated/furnished historic property with all the amenities of present day. We arrived to find a welcome note, a box of goodies, small selection of snack bars, dog treats, and waste bags.
The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need for your stay including tea/coffee, foil, paper plates, etc- less groceries.
Pool and hot tub were clean and clear. I just feel for the property manager having to be on call for turning on the jets and heat for the hot tub. Tish was very friendly, and accommodating to all requests but there has to be a better way.
We weren’t originally planning on bringing our pups but our dog sitter canceled a week before our trip and I ended up adding them on since the add said dogs welcome. Evolve was not responsive via message on the Monday before our trip. I finally called Friday before our arrival on Monday. The evolve rep Danny apologized for the delay relaying it was busy because of spring break. I was able to add the pet fee on to the stay but there was no information online or over phone about size limits.
When we arrived I found that the property owners rules allowed up to 2 dogs under 25 lbs. Our dogs are well mannered but way over limit. Luckily Tish, the property manager answered my panicked call and came over to meet our fur babies. She took photos contacted the owners and they didn’t turn us away but it was clear we’d be responsible for any damage caused by our dogs (which there wasn’t because they are well mannered). I go into detail because it’s important that the adds communicate the property owners rules. Had they not been accommodating our trip never would have been ruined. We will certainly be back but without the pups in tow.
