“Cosy Barn was the perfect place to stay for a get-away from it all weekend.The house was welcoming, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Quiet location with lots of lovely walks on the doorstep, and the village pub is about half a mile away. Claire responded quickly to the booking request and gave clear instructions for access to the house. Thank you Claire for making your cottage so welcoming and excellent communication. ”

“really comfortable stay - the cottage is cosy but has high ceilings so no banged heads and it doesn't feel cramped. beds really comfy. fantastic location - amazing walks from outside the front door. lovely pub in the village down the hill. and the owners run the tea room next door so left us a lovely plate of cakes on arrival! ”

“Well lovely spacious accommodation so close to Alton towers I sort of worked out it is quicker to walk from the cottage than it is to drive into the car park and walk. I was very happy being in there and the large sofa and fire were so homely ”

“Fantastic little cottage and the attention to details was great!!! The owners supplied milk, coffee, tea and chocolate chip muffins which were very much welcomed after a long drive. Location was brilliant and very close to Alton Towers (5 mins drive) and the suggested walks around the area were very relaxing. All in all we had a fantastic and relaxing time staying in this cottage. Definitely will be back and recommend to family and friends.”

“From minute we walked in our stay was just what we remembered from last time we had been . Beautiful country kitchen and restaurant it lovely host left us a cake . Must say it had gone in the first half hour with us all . Eggs milk all the essentials to start out stay . It’s perfect for dogs my two loved the space and2 fields all to themselves. Perfect as one my dogs is reactive . Start to finish we loved it made memories in this little part off paradise . Hopefully we will be back soon . ”

“Fell in love with this property, feels like home. It has everything one needs. We loved the window shutters, comfortable sofas, great kitchen. Only thing missing is a double bed.Hollingclough is simply stunning, we hope to return next year.Ideal for local walks and the nearby villages have some adorable pubs ready to quench ones thirst after a long days hike.We recommend climbing the dragons back.”

“Wonderful cottage, a perfect size for our family of 4. The accommodation is on a working farm but was quiet throughout with lovely gardens. Alton Towers was a short drive away as well as sports for hiking / nature. ”
