"Worked for our quick half stop trip down south for 8 howeverthe place was not clean and one of the rooms had mold and stains on the ceiling. Unusable and disgusting room. Dust was still all over the dressers and fridge was something I wouldn't put any food. Found a cleaning rag in the bed and the floor in the master bedroom was warping with water damage. There was also a musty smell in the entire place. In the end you get what you pay for."

"Cute, cozy cabin in the woods. Very clean and comfortable. Lots of room inside. Very peaceful. Lots of beautiful land and wildlife to see on your drive to this property. Everything looked brand new-the cabin, appliances, tvs. We were in town for a baseball tournament, so we didn't spend much time enjoying the surrounding property, as we were mostly at the field. "Great staff-especially Mary & Yesh. Clean facility. The POOL needs to be redone & made 3 ft to 6 ft swimming.. Older kids & adults can't do much is 3 ft pool. There were A LOT of young kids running around the hotel area without parents. Knocking on various doors for hours, running up & down hallway banging on the walls & noisy. WHERE ARE THE PARENTS? Oh right - in the BAR!!! Beds are comfortable but way too tall for folks under 5'7". Need a footstool to climb in. Overall, not a bad experience except for the kids (maybe ages 8-12?).. Need parent supervision.... Kids are great until NOT supervised.."

"The house is beautifully nestled in nature and, while it’s a bit of a drive from the New River Gorge, it’s ideally situated for exploring Summersville Lake. The construction doesn’t always have the most meticulous attention to detail, but what the property lacks in craftsmanship, it more than makes up for in thoughtful design, quality of light, character, and atmosphere. The house strikes a lovely balance between what feels like Nordic-inspired simplicity and warm, eclectic charm. If I had to describe the property in one word, it would be hygge—comfortable, inviting, unfussy, and designed around experience/presence. Array of amenities inclide: a static line, bonfire pit, espresso machine, impressive cooktop, rentable paddleboards, pool table, coin laundry, laundry chutes, and patio spaces. None of these feel particularly ornamental; together, they make the house feel more like a well-considered retreat than simply a place to sleep. We stayed in the suite, which was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out, as was the house as a whole. Ownership was approachable and responsive, which added to the ease and warmth of the stay. I’d recommend the property and would absolutely come back. It’s the kind of place that encourages you to linger a little longer—coffee in hand, somewhere between an adventure and an afternoon with a book."
