Definitely recommend a stay at the Royal Oak.

"The Royal Oak is in a stunning location and there has clearly been a lot of investment in upgrading the facilities and decor. This has resulted in very stylish, thoughtfully designed, high quality accommodation. The room & bathroom were gorgeous with good storage, a very comfortable bed and good quality fabrics, linen & towels. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. We very much enjoyed the evening meal and breakfast, both cooked well and with good quality ingredients. The indoor spaces are well laid out, the courtyard was cool and peaceful and the garden was sunny and well tended. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the chap who checked us in and worked in the evening (he has dark hair and a beard but we’re sorry we didn’t ask his name). We would definitely recommend a stay here and are already planning to return. "

We would definitely book here again.

"Lovely welcome at check in. This is more of a guest house style than a modern ‘hotel’ and has decor/styling that reflects this, but all areas were very clean and tidy. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and had good storage and tea/coffee facilities. Clean linen and nice towels. Lovely hot shower. Super view from the window over a couple of streets and beyond to the hills/mountains. All the staff we saw were friendly, attentive and hard working (but not rushing around and making things stressy). Breakfast was very well cooked, tasty, fresh and good quality ingredients. A few minutes walk to the centre of town and the park. We would definitely book here again for a future visit to Keswick. "

" We've just returned from three fantastic nights at The Crow Park Hotel, and it truly exceeded our expectations. Full of charm, rich history, and unique character, this family-run hotel offers something really special being genuine warmth and exceptional customer care that's hard to find these days. If you're after modern gadgets and flashy features, this may not be your place, but what you'll get instead is far more rewarding with breathtaking views of Catbells and Hope Park, and an unbeatable location just a stone's throw from the heart of Keswick. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding, and we especially loved chatting with the owner, whose passion for the hotel's heritage and deep knowledge of Keswick made our stay even more memorable. We leave feeling completely recharged and without a doubt, we'll be back."
