“A very quiet location in a rural area, ideal position for visiting towns in the area such as Hawes, Leyburn etc. The cottage overlooks fields and stables in the distance, there is a lot of wildlife, rabbits ,squirrels, to see along with the owners ducks, chickens and two cheeky dachshunds.We found the best Coop for supplies was to be found at Masham not far away with easy parking.”

“Very cosy house. Perfect for three adults on a walking holiday. Lovely hot shower. Well equipped kitchen. Perfect location for many lovely walks. Shame about the soft mattresses in the twin room. Otherwise faultless. ”

“Loved this cottage , had everything you needed , pub next door very handy , we took our grandson to lightwater valley and the forbidden corner approximately 20mins by car to both destinations already looking to book again”

“It was a cute little bolt hole. We are however tall & it’s very low ceilings and doors so had to duck everywhere. Reasonably well equipped. Very comfortable bed. Some cobwebs between beams & in windows which we used a duster to move those above the bed. The bushes by the main entrance could also do with a trim as encroach on the door way when passing through.Some teas, coffees, biscuits and fresh milk was a nice touch as well as the a little freezer with the fridge. Easy to park in little car……

“Location worked well for us. Small room with en-suite. Out the back for a country pub. Ample parking nearby. Room not great at keeping noise out - could hear footsteps overhead from residents upstairs and voices carried across the count yard late at night. As it was warm needed to windows open so more easily disturbed by noise. The bed was super creaky too, which was annoying and disturbing in the dead of night! Convenient and suitable for a location/budget stay. Friendly staff and looked like a……
