This cottage sits on the West Arm Narrows of Lake Nipissing, the third largest lake in Ontario. My property is in a protected bay, where a series of small creeks flow into the lake. Here, herons nest, otters play, ducks of all kinds, ospreys dive and swans feed in the springtime. Although technically cottage country, we are on the edge of hundreds of acres of Crown land. We are surrounded by wilderness, yet just minutes from a Provincial highway.
This area is very quiet and dark at night, making for great star-gazing at all times of the year.
Swim, sunbathe, or fish off the dock, and explore the lake in a canoe or kayaks (provided, with life jackets and safety kits).
The French River area is proud of its "voyageur" past. Visit the French River Visitor Centre to learn more. Groceries and other necessities available in Noelville, about 15 kms. away.
I live on the property, so I'm always available to answer questions, but the cottage is also set up to assure privacy.
Simon was an artist and a good friend who lived sometimes in the cottage. He passed in July 2024.
