“We had an extremely disappointing and stressful experience with this property. They call it a "Family Fun Lakehouse," but I would strongly disagree with that label.First, do NOT agree to any arrangements outside the Vrbo platform. If they call or message you directly, I highly recommend asking them to communicate through Vrbo only. “Basic cottage. We appreciated air conditioning and view. Exterior chairs where all broken, had to wash dishes, dirty floors. BBQ had no grill so took neighbors, was rusty and very dirty. “I brought a new pillow I bought with me and forgot it on the bed, after forgetting it there I called and the guy said it wasn’t there, pretty sure they just needed a new pillow.”

“The listing did not include much detail, looking back it should've been a warning sign. It's a beat up property that is part of a trailer park type of "resort" as they pompously put it on their signs at the location. Expect to be disappointed if you do book it.”

“Responsiveness from Owner was horrible. Sent email weeks in advance with no response until day before. Stayed opening day of season for camp. Not enough utensils or pots and pans to make a meal. If only looking for very rustic fish camp with roof overhead, then this is place for you. Family vacation is it not. Found a frying pan full of oil and spatula in oven from over winter as we were first to stay this season. I have been going to this camp for over 40 years minus a few since COVID. I would……

“We stayed for 3 nights and it was nice to be by the water but the cabin was very poorly maintained. Screen was hanging out of the door. There was very little in the way of cutlery (2 forks only). Trees need trimming so that renters can see the water. Nice to canoe the lake and watch the diving birds in the evenings.”

The website says check in after 4 pm, but the owner said that it is at 4 pm and as such she had to pay the money we paid her to the property manager to wait for us. there was no paper in the washroom which was very dirty. the rooms, dishes, appliances were all dirty. there was no gas for BBQ and no oven tray to cook the food we brought. the owner kept on blaming us for being late and that she did not make money out of our stay.……

“Owner is very friendly and spent time to make sure everything was ok. The property lacks essentials. Make sure you bring coffee, coffee filters, salt, pepper, soap and shampoo for shower etc. One hand towel in bathroom, and one toilet paper, no towels for showers and none for drying dishes etc. All of this can be fixed with a trip into Sydenham Foodland or some prior planning. The view over the lake from the deck is very nice. We had a great time. ”
