"The location was brilliant. The property was well equipped, clean and comfortable. However, the external areas were in dire need of cleansing and maintenance. (Getting rid of the bird feeders would help in this matter !!)"

"We absolutely loved staying at Roger’s home in Keswick! The three of us had plenty of room, all of the amenities we needed, and a beautiful garden courtyard to spend time together. It is a nice walk on a footpath to town, and a short distance to the Castlerigg Stone Circle. Roger was very helpful and gave us great recommendations for our stay in this gorgeous area. We hope to get back there again!"

"The property is set in a stunning setting, opposite Blencathra, in a really quiet location. Unfortunately, however, the cottage has a rodent problem. Each morning we'd find mouse droppings underneath the fridge, on window ledges and by the sink. On leaving we also discovered mice had chewed through one of our bags."

"We had a great holiday. We stay for 4 nights ( 4 adults and 2 children (10 and 6)). The lodge is very cosy and it is very spacious. My son was very happy watching the ducks swimming in the pond. Children watched rabbits running around outside the lodge. Our grandparents flew over from Lithuania and they were left awestruck. Highly recommended Many Thanks😊"

"Loved our stay. Our first family trip away with our 10 week old baby and even she loved it. We had everything we needed at our finger tips. The only slight downfall was the Wi-Fi connection. It was quite hard to connect to and very slow. Being in an area with poor reception for data, the Wi-Fi was definitely needed but we both struggled to get any use out of it. Amazing place though, would recommend. "

"Lovely cottage, well-equipped. Wonderful position for walking straight from the cottage, and the valley with its birdsong and red squirrels is a joy. "This was a great break in a gorgeous property. Everything was as described, including the facilities and location / proximity to the beach. I had no concerns about the dogs in the garden with the high and fully secure fence and all rooms were spacious to accommodate us. This was our third stay in Southerness and most certainly the best property we have stayed in. We will be back."
