"We have been traveling all over Europe, the staff at this hotel was the nicest! They were ready to help in any way possible to make our stay comfortable. The location was ideal, 2 min walk to the railway station and the bus is right across the street. Nice restaurants close to the location. "

"Bland review as unable to comment on most aspects. Unfortunately when I arrived no room had been booked for me at the Kaiser Karl in spite of my reservation confirmation from Expedia and the hotel was full. The staff member on reception was fabulous and sorted me an alternative hotel and covered the costs of a taxi to get me there. Thankfully the hotels were also able to sort out a transfer of funds which I had already paid for Kaiser Karl. No idea if this situation was the fault of Expedia or...

Good breakfast and we reserved parking too. Location was ideal and only a few minutes walk from the city centre (a number of very good restaurants and bars were recommended to us by the hotel staff) and half an hour drive from Phantasialand (well worth a visit). I stayed here for a week while visiting my son in Bonn and was blown away by the care the owners put into running it. They handle everything themselves—front desk, cleaning, breakfast—and go out of their way to help with directions, recommendations, and anything else you might need.
The rooms appear recently renovated and cleaned daily with great attention to detail. My only small gripe: the foam mattress was firmer than I prefer. A pillow topper might help—next time I’ll ask!

"This is basic, clean accommodation reasonably close to the Bonn Zentrum. Easy flat walking and tram runs along front of property if you don’t want to walk. Breakfast was in line with the price paid and offered a limited, but fresh range to choose from. I asked for an extra pillow the first evening but this was not possible due to housekeeping being closed and the property kept no spares at reception. I suffer from reflux and the included pillow was not helpful at all, even when folded in half so the first night I had to fold up my winter jacket to try and get some sleep. The friendly housekeeping staff easily found a pillow for my second night. The heaters sounded like there was rain or a toilet dripping, apparently there is air in the pipes which has not been bled out. Overall, the property was clean and the bed was comfortable."
