"Checked into a single room. Floors were dirty and sticky. Bed linens were damp and filthy, the decorative cover was ragged and had cigarette burns on it. They traded me out for a double. Linens were stained, but clean i think. Floors were at least not sticky, but not clean. The room is nasty. Please clean these rooms. I drove 11 hours today and i didnt have the energy to find someplace else. Was looking forward to a hot shower but after seeing the tub I couldn't do it."

"The design of the buildings shows an earlier time. However the grounds, outside and interior are all first class and up to date. The bed was very comfortable. There were two sitting chairs and one desk chair. All very comfortable. Probably best motel shower I have experienced in a while. Location could not be better as you could walk the entire area of Blowing Rock."

"Such an amazing place. Ideal getaway into the mountains while also being within 30 mins of food/entertainment. Glad these places are still intact after the hurricane. It’s on a one room cabin, but has everything you need. Fire pit along the quiet rolling river couldn’t of been better!"

"If you are looking for a true family-friendly place to stay look no further. The layout of the house gives you room to spread out and have a little privacy yet the rooms are large enough to gather together. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all our meals. The most attractive thing about this house is that it feels like a home. Our family felt so relaxed during our stay. Every bed was comfortable.The pool was perfect for little ones. The only time we left the whole week was for boat rides and groceries. We were so content staying at the house. The listing is very accurate.The host responds quickly to every question and goes beyond to ensure a pleasant stay."

"Beautiful piece of property with a great view of the stream from the screened back porch. The road in front of the house had more traffic than we expected but wasn’t bad and we enjoyed being out in the mountains. The second cabin on the property is quite close and was great for us since we brought our parents. Gave us both privacy yet the convenience of being together when we wanted. Both cabins were furnished well and decorated cute. We did encounter an issue that was disappointing but the owner was so prompt to reply and manage the situation for which we were grateful. We would definitely stay there again. "

"A great experience from start to finish. Home is beautiful. Just as described on the website. Very clean. The movie theatre was fantastic. We all gathered (13) in the theatre 3 of the 4 nights. Complimentary candy was much appreciated. Game room was also enjoyed nightly. Kitchen was well stocked. There was nothing that we needed that wasn’t supplied. We cooked in every night and used the grill and flat stone. The deck is amazing and had enough seating for all of us to enjoy. The view was impressive off of the deck. We highly recommend this home. All 13 of us agree that we would return. "
