"Outside of the smoking on the main floor of the casino, this place was great and so much fun. It has big hotel rooms, great food, and great staff. They have a large area designed for kids, which has tons of games. While in this area watching your kiddos, there is a great bar and food for everyone."

"The Chalet was clean and well-kept, the provided instructions for our stay were so easy and clear, the amenities were plentiful and as advertised, and we have never had the pleasure of working with a host as attentive, kind and pleasant as Chris! The location is beautiful and was perfect for a quiet weekend away from 4th of July fireworks (my dog doesn’t do well with fireworks). Soaking in the hot tub after a day of hiking was lovely and so relaxing. We also loved being able to grill and eat our dinners out on the deck in the evenings, while listening to the sounds of the forest.We definitely plan on making another trip out to the Chalet next year, and are so grateful to Chris for making our stay there amazing!"

"I loved the stay in this area… very beautiful backyard with river flowing…. Fire pit areas and family picnic tables are really fun hangouts. The flowing river sounds are soothing and amazing…. Loved the place. "

"What a neat little gem just steps away from downtown Placerville and still surrounded by nature! We even saw a whole deer family on the front lawn. Historic charm meets all the amenities you can ask for. We were in the Inverness room with our two pups and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host was super attentive and responsive. The only thing people have to be aware of is that the bed is super soft. If you like that, this is the room for you, if not, you may want to try one of the other rooms. "

"Had the best time here. When I booked this it was originally the cheapest place in the area so I was nervous but it absolutely BLEW me away. All the employees were incredibly nice and helpful. We met the GM, our rooms were clean, the pool was clean, I went by myself with 3 kids and they totally were helpful. "

"This amazing home was ideal for our group of five families celebrating a 50th birthday. There was something for everyone. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The adults also went wine tasting to some of the many, many nearby wineries. The house is very comfortable and well equipped with anything we needed including kitchen supplies, games, and pool towels. Beds were very comfortable including the four extra single beds which were easy to set up. Communicating with the owner was no problem. Easy drive from the East Bay Area and we definitely hope to go back again to this property and continue to explore the wine region!"
