Step back in time without sacrificing modern luxuries at this extraordinary
lake-access cabin on beautiful Lake Guntersville, formerly known as "Two
Cabins Lodge." Crafted from hand-scraped 36" timbers, this home brings history
to life while offering every comfort needed for a relaxing getaway.
Originally built from two pre-Civil War log cabins, the property has been
fully restored and thoughtfully updated by Karen Tillery, famed interior
designer who is routinely featured on Barnwood Builders on the Magnolia
Network. You'll find rich hardwood floors, reclaimed antique lumber ceilings,
and one-of-a-kind features like a builder's signature dating back to August 4,
1859. Every detail tells a story -- from barn wood cabinetry sourced from an
early 1800s West Virginia barn to stair treads carved from solid antique
hickory and poplar.
Perfect for families and groups, this spacious retreat boasts 4 bedrooms, 5
bathrooms, and sleeping space for up to 20 guests, including a fun kid's loft
with built-in bunks and a play area. Gather in the stunning two-story family
room, whip up meals in the well-appointed eat-in kitchen with honed granite
countertops, or relax in the large bonus room downstairs.
Located just steps from Lake Guntersville, you'll have easy access to
swimming, fishing, and boating, with plenty of room inside and out to unwind
after a day of adventure. Whether you're savoring the craftsmanship of this
historic home or enjoying modern comforts like WiFi and flat-screen TVs, this
cabin provides a truly unique vacation experience.
Make lasting memories with friends and family at this remarkable retreat where
the past meets the present on the banks of the Tennessee River's Lake
Guntersville.
Please be informed that the sofa bed(s) are located in the basement area, not
in the loft.
Please note the **pool may be closed seasonally** once leaves start falling
and not reopened until Spring. Typically October to early March. Please
inquire as status if booking October to March.
The Lake is shallow in this location and likely **not suitable for swimming**.
Paddleboarding, floating, canoeing and rowing are all fine and several are
provided.
The causeway is only 9' of clearance to the main lake, so**Pontoon Boats or
Jet Skis** are the only boats with shallow enough draft to be able to dock.
Outdoor Quiet hours are 11:00 pm, please be respectful of neighbors and keep
outdoor noise to a minimum after 11:00 pm.
The Cabin is from the 1800s and is not a typical home. Please treat it
respectfully, but enjoy the Lake ambience and history.
