We were given some devastating news in mid October that our dog not only had cancer but that it had metastasized and said goodbye to her on 11/7. If we thought we were heartbroken when we got that news, it wasn’t even close to the pain we’ve felt and continue to feel since our goodbye. This was a last minute trip to try to keep our minds pre-occupied from our profound sadness. I referred to it as our distraction trip but it wasn’t so much since we visited the area several times in the past with our girl, and most everything was a reminder of some wonderful times we spent with her. Yes, I’m getting somewhere with all of this. When we got to the rental, we saw dog bowls by the dining area table, and for some reason gave us comfort that she was with us. She could be rather judgmental and as much as she loved car rides, she loved her home more and was always ready to go home. However, something gave me a feeling that she would have been more receptive to staying at this place. So more about Ron’s VRBO and less about my dog. Again I booked last minute and communication on rental was in a flash. I should have checked my messages more often since I missed a nice message that we could check in sooner, but we already had a plan in play. Perfect parking, check-in super easy, apartment was very clean, nicely furnished, but the best part was the bed. It was so incredibly comfortable. I wish I would have used “zero g” setting prior to falling asleep. So comfy! Great place to stay.
