At True North Cabin Rentals we have 5 cabin’s together with nice lake views from the 1 acre resort property. Cabin #4 is a open loft, two bedroom, one bath cabin for rent at beautiful Higgins Lake that sleep 10. Included you will find a 1 queen bed in each bedroom, 2 full & 1 twin bed in the loft, couch, tv/dvds, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, glassware, silverware, pots and pans linens, towels and everything else you will need for your fun filled summer vacation, along with a fire pit, BBQ grill, hammock and horse shoes. A nice shallow sandy beach and Public dock just steps from the cabin. The Silver Dollar Bar just one block up the street and party store less than a mile away. Cabin is located at 119 Thorpe Ave. Higgins Lake MI. Pontoons, Fishing & Ski Boats, Jet Skis, Paddleboards, Kayaks, ATVs, Scooters, and UTVs available for rent at a discounted price for all renters through GO FAST Rentals that is also one block away.
PETS OK! (Pet fee is $45 per pet) Campfire wood available for purchase on property.

Great price, clean, but misrepresented.
Overall, a decent property, although it is much smaller in person than the pictures reveal the place Was clean we were not told we needed to supply our own toilet paper and paper towels until we arrived and found that there was virtually none there. Despite what the listing said there was no air conditioning and it is not on a lake as stated also there was no hammock as stated we also enjoyed the strong, sulfur smell in the water, which was not disclosed and the hot water heater itself is so small underneath of the kitchen countertop and definitely did not accommodate the eight people we had there. the One ceiling fan that was in the house was broken and there were no closets in any of the rooms so our clothes were on the floor. would not recommend for a party of more than four definitely too cramped for more than that. I will say the property manager was kind and attentive. We were just disappointed between what the post eluded to and what we actually got overall, the place has great potential if these issues were taken care of

Loved our stay, clean, very nice interior cozy and comfortable. Could have used a few more blankets. Water had sulfur smell but wouldn’t deter us from returning.

things were nice and new kitchen was well stock But there needs to be areas to be able to hang things-hooks in the bedrooms the photos are every misleading on the size to handle large groups I would not recommend it to anyone with a large group.

Nice cottage
The cottage was very clean and the beds/pillows were confortable. Had all of the supplies we needed. In addition to the sectional, there is a chair and larrge ottoman that are not pictured in the listing. Also rented a pontoon boat from Go fast and that went very smoothly. I would rent this cottage again and recomnend it to others.

Cute cottage close to Lake
This was the perfect place for our ice fishing trip. It was very clean and cozy with our family of 5 and 2 dogs. This cottage is in a great location with access to the lake. The host, Jeremy was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Wedding Weekend
Our daughter was married on Higgins Lake this last weekend. The grooms family and ours stayed at the cabin. We had room to set up three EZ ups 6 tables and 24 chairs to host a small dinner after the ceremony which was at the state park just a 5 minute drive from the cabin. The cabin was very nice and clean. It has everything you need in the kitchen. It is a small but strangely accommodating for 10 people. We had an infant, a toddler, 6 adults and 2 teens. The front porch is nice and stays cool all day long. The property owner is excellent at communicating. Our families would love to come back and stay again next year.

Awesome Weekend Up North!
My friends and I had a wonderful weekend up at Higgins Lake! We feel like we really lucked out finding this great cabin for our trip. There were five of us up for the weekend and the cabin could have easily slept a few more. My friend was also able to bring her dog which was so appreciated. Jeremy was a great host, easy to communicate with and super helpful during our stay.

This cabin was very clean and neat. The upstairs was only accessible by a ladder though (no stairs) which was interesting. The beach at the end of the street is owned by AM Vets so there is not really access to a public beach nearby as listed. Overall we really enjoyed our stay though!

Better than expected
It was my first VRBO experience where I found the property. We were looking for a rustic cute house for 8 adults and 1 Corgi. It was nice and clean. Enough beds for all. Kitchen amenities were just what we needed. Walking distance to a fun restaurant. The only thing we wished we brought was small fans for 2 of the bedrooms. There was a portable chiller in living room, which was perfect for living room and kitchen. We would rent again from this owner.

We stayed 3 nights 4 days. Our cabin was very nice. Clean. The only thing they need to up date no central air. There was a floor AC. The hot water heater too small for 8 women. All in all, it was great great love the location and people are very friendly. Planning another trip again! Thank you

Long weekend
Upon arrival I was a little concerned looking at the exterior of the cabin. Once inside I was pleasantly surprised. New flooring throughout. The subfloor needs to be replaced. Floor is spongy and uneven. The shower is very small but good enough I suppose. The hot water heater is very small so the six of us had an issue with warm showers. The place was clean. The loft area was great for the younger guests. The boat launch is close by. The lake is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay, the cabin was good enough. Plenty of parking room. We had a boat and three vehicles. Was a little surprised with the area having a bunch of local small businesses being closed. There is a bar/restaurant within walking distance that has a pretty good menu and the food we had was good. Overall it was a cute place that could use a larger shower and the subfloor replaced. I don’t believe there is room to make the shower larger though. It is what it is. I would recommend staying here.

Great property with Higgins view
We came for a weekend getaway, & it was even better than expected. The property was very clean & updated. Higgins was a 2 minute walk. We had a great time. Next time, we will have our friends rent the other properties.
