Best Resorts in Eleuthera and Harbour Island

"Beautiful property on a busy street in the center of real Harbour Island. Our family of four (two adults & two teenagers) had far more space than we needed for our nearly week-long stay. The home and the gardens are stunning. The property is basically a fortress, with walls on all side, so views out are non-existent. The outdoor areas are lovely, but we found little time throughout the day & night that was quiet enough to sit out and really relax. This is an indoor experience, which is fine b/c you come here to rest and then go out and adventure. Dolce & Olga were amazing, and Pascale is a great communicator and she's very kind. Bathrooms could use a refresh, but otherwise a stunning space with beautiful art and architecture! Park your golf cart directly in front of the main entrance, and get out early b/c everything sells out fast! Bamboo House is definitely a great alternative to the resorts. "A great place to stay. Would definitely stay again. I loved that it is locally owned and staffed. The room was great. Plenty of towels and toiletries to use. The breakfast was simple by tasty. The staff was overall very friendly. We got a complimentary late check out, which we greatly appreciated. The only downside was that the ventilation duct in the bathroom is communicated with other rooms, and you can hear conversations and noises very clearly from other rooms."

"I had a great stay at the property. Staff was wecloming & nice. I will stay there when i return. I recommend the property for others to stay. One thing & the only thing i was disappointed in was the temperature of the hot water....didn't get to my liking, more warm than anything. But overall it was a great stay."

"Our family of 4 (with 2 kids) had a great time at the Sea Shanty! It was our first time visiting the island and it was the perfect base to explore the island. The cottage is very clean, true to the pictures and was perfectly outfitted with everything you need to be self sufficient! The backyard has a nice clean pool and we especially loved morning coffee on the upper patio. Jethro our host was super responsive (within minutes) and very accommodating!The beach is across the street, down a short 5-10 walk in either direction which was awesome! There’s a small grocery store in town and some great restaurants within 5-10 min drive. We’d come back in a heart beat!"

"This was a perfect 2 day stay for us after a long travel day from Vermont! Owner and other employees were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar were a welcome addition. Great beach right across the road. "

"this little place is perfect for 2. clean and perfectly appointed. .bed was supper comfortable. we were here for 6 days. the deck looks out over the ocean and the set up lets you bask in the sun or sit in shade at different times of the day. we never used the ac. great breezes. we had breakfast here every morning and ate at the front porch and da lish. visited awesome surfers beach and lovers beach. took a day trip to harbor island and the beautiful beach there. this little place is very private and a perfect place to stay if you want to be comfortable and explore. we will definitely return!"

"Outstanding property. Staff was always present and available to assist. Property is fantastic, miles of beautiful beach with nearly nobody around. There is never disturbance, anywhere. Perfect place where to enjoy quietness and relax. Room was spacious and very clean. Very recommended"
