Our house is perfect for a family holiday, a friends' weekend away or a couples retreat. A gateway to the beautiful Kosciusko National Park, Khancoban provides a great place to escape, relax and unwind.
Located in the heart of Khancoban, your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally located cottage only 6 minutes walk to the village square where you can enjoy great food and coffee at the cafe, a pharmacy, and post office.
The town is nestled on the foreshores of Khancoban Pondage, a three kilometre long lake that forms part of the Snowy Mountains Hydro Scheme. With the breathtaking backdrop of Australia’s highest snow covered mountains, the scenery is stunningly beautiful and is an ideal location for fishing, boating, canoeing and water-skiing. Excellent picnic and playground facilities are provided as well as an easily accessible boat ramp.
Khancoban also offers many things to see and do, including a beautiful walking track along the lake. The Murray 1 Power Station Lookout and Scammel's Lookout are both just a short drive out of town. You can also spend the day in Thredbo by following the scenic Alpine Way for 77km through the Kosciuszko National Park, Geehi Flats and Tom Groggin Station.
