I eventually contacted Galileo, the listed agent, directly. "Hotel Lombarda is located in a quiet village just a short bus or uber ride from the port in Korcula. The hotel is pretty “tired”, and could use some updating of rooms, baths and common areas above the lobby. The pool area was great and we enjoyed talking with the bartender. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. Our friends did have an obnoxious sewer odor in their room that was never really resolved. Hotel has indicated they will refund one nights stay, but that hasn’t happened as of yet. It was fun to visit a couple of wineries while we were there."

"Overall a great place. This is an older building that has been well maintained. But as a 1970s building it is showing its age and era of architecture. On the flip side, it was much less expensive than most hotels we have stayed at on this trip and as a result there seem to be more locals, which was refreshing. The waterfront beach area is fantastic. Our bathroom light only worked intermittently but no big deal. A nice relaxing small town location away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist cities. Breakfasts were good and outdoor seating very pretty."

Staff were helpful; breakfast buffet was not that great compared to other hotels on our trip. The hotel was very kind to allow us the use of the pool & showers after check out while we waited for our late afternoon ferry. We would recommend this hotel for a visit to Korcula."
