"A rustic farm experience in a lovely cabin. Amazing sea and bush views and incredible star gazing. The farm is an animal sanctuary with horses, ducks, geese, chicken, sheep, cattle, pigs and peacocks which really added to the countryside experience. This is a rustic experience similar to glamping so if you're after the 5 star experience this is not for you. If it's a farm experience, excellent star gazing and friendly animals then this is the place! Terri and Jim were excellent hosts always...

"Nelson is a wonderful community, and this property is ideally located -- close to downtown, grocery stores, and nearby hiking. Shared bike/ped paths were also nearby for quick access. The unit has a couple of bicycles, and we used these as our primary in-town transportation. The kitchen is well equipped with a good complement of appliances. The garden is a quiet haven with lots of flowers, herbs, and fruit trees. This place is a great find!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Nelson at Alan’s property. Communication with Alan was a breeze along with check-in and check-out. The house was as advertised, well stocked and clean. The location was amazing, as you could be walking along the Maitai, wandering the Queen’s Gardens or brunching downtown in a matter of minutes. "Absolutely fabulous, like having our own wee house!!. Daphna a friendly greeting on arrival, was initially a bit nervous about the closeness of the house, but was quiet, private, absolute bliss. Only things I could fault was internet connection seemed to cut in & out- but who needs to be on the internet while discovering Nelson!, and could do with a couple ice bricks in freezer for picnics. Highly recommended, Richmond has everything you need and a great base to explore from."
