Family trip to Yosemite
We had a good visit- the house was well stocked with towels, blankets, kitchen tools, etc. We never figured out the drip coffee maker, but the keurig filled in and was well stocked. Washer and dryer were also handy. It was great to have a large dining room table we could all eat at comfortably.

Wonderful Cabin!
My elderly uncles stayed here for 10 days and had a great time! They "forgot" to check out on the designated date and the hosts were wonderful about accommodating them and making sure they got to their next destination. They loved the roomy, clean and cozy cabin which was well located for their Yosemite adventures. This cabin made all the difference in how they enjoyed the park. It was world's apart from staying in a hotel room.

Great charming Cabin. Very clean. Nice hosts. Comfortable beds. Do not rely on GPS. The only issue is GPS took us off-road to boonies… the marker is Wrong on Google, Apple, Waze and Tesla nav. Just look for the sign and you won’t miss it.

Yosemite Family Vacation
Overall, the space met the needs of 2 families of 4. It was clean, and mostly what we expected. Though the refrigerator was able to eventually keep an adequate temperature, getting in/out of it too much caused the temp to increase quickly so we were quite concerned the first night after unloading our groceries. We contacted the property owner who responded very quickly, and is aware the refrigerator needs serviced. Unfortunately, there was little to be done during our stay, but to try and limit opening/closing it often. The freezer worked fine. Overall we had a great vacation and upon confirming the fridge has been serviced, I would stay at the property again.

Perfect place to enjoy Yosemite and the surrounding area!
Finding a comfortable place for a family of 7 is no easy task. This house fit the bill just perfectly! The kitchen had everything we could have needed. The beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Because of summer traffic, it took about an hour to get to the Arch Rock entrance of Yosemite, but the ride along the Merced River was a beautiful part of the journey. It was also nice to be so close to Mariposa. The house is listed as 3 bedroom, but there is a door between the two spaces in the loft which makes it feel like a 4 bedroom. Just be sure that the people sleeping in the loft are okay with coming downstairs to use the bathroom. It wasn’t a problem for us at all. Communication with the owner was pleasant and all messages were answered quickly. Highly recommended!

Cozy cabin, just 30 minutes from Yosemite
The cabin exceeds the photos online. Cozy, comfortable, and we’ll stocked kitchen. Linens were soft and plentiful, great place for a family with plenty of beds for everyone! We would have loved to stay longer.

A great visit with visiting family
My two brothers and a sister-in-law came to visit us from the east coast. We thought it would be great to take them to see Yosemite. We searched out this house back in December and thought it sounded like it would work. Turned out, it was perfect. It had lots of room, was very comfortable, and was fully equipped with everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay. Thanks for making it available to us vacation renters.

This was a great stay for our family of 6! We got the YARTS bus passes to get us into Yosemite, and the YARTS bus stop was RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from this rental! GREAT! There is also a great little old-town of Midpines, just 8 minutes away to walk around and enjoy to local culture!

Great place for the family
Ideal location when visiting the Midpines/Mariposa area. The creek side location was beautiful. There was outside seating and dining areas, which were perfect in the mornings and at night. The internet worked well.

The setting of the home is very homey and serene. Generosity and cleanliness of the owner is greatly appreciated. My family will consider coming back again. We are very grateful and everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend.

Festive stay at Christmas!
We appreciate the effort the owner went to decorate the house for Christmas. It was cheery and festive, with a lit Christmas tree, holiday treats, and lots of cute decorations. The park, of course, was amazing. It was nice to come back to such a cozy cabin.

Functional and cozy
We stayed here in early October 2022. The house was as advertised. Well stocked and all appliances in worker order. The washer/dryer are a HUGE benefit. It's located a few miles from Mariposa so running into town to grab supplies or a bite to eat is convenient. NOTE: It's about a 30 minute drive to the El Portal entrance. If you plan to do any hikes in the north east part of the park be prepared for a long drive. This is not a negative of the property. Just something to be aware of and plan.

Hiking Yosemite
Very nice place to stay with lots of room. Loved the laundry availability and having two bathrooms. Owner was very communicative. Close to the town of Mariposa for places to eat and shop for groceries. My only suggestion: a fan for the master bedroom.

Nice stay close to the park
The stay was very comfortable and was convenient to going into Yosemite. About 45 minutes to the valley. Lots of additions in the pantry that made cooking a little easier. The place has lots of space, but we just used the downstairs with the three of us staying at the home. We would use the place again if we plan another trip to Yosemite. It did not have a DVD player as claimed in the amenities, but that was not an issue for our stay. We were able to access the movie we wanted to watch using Netflix.

Yosemite Get Away!
This was a great cabin for our family of five. There was plenty of room and amenities to keep us comfortable. The living room area was not really able to fit us all to relax and watch tv at night but it was okay for us because we went to bed early each night, tired from hiking! It was a half hour drive to Yosemite’s route 140 entrance. The entrance drive is another 20 minutes. We loved this trip- the park was amazing!

This is an unique house with antique wooden furniture equipped with modern amenities. We enjoyed our stay and it’s at convenient location from Yosemite valley and Mariposa. Owner Mike is very supportive and quick to respond. We will definitely stay again.

Beautiful view open to the nature
Beautiful small house; in the middle of the nature. open to see the land with a bay window. We can hear the frogs down in the small river. inside entirely with wood, we felt like in a old cabin, but with comfort. Kitchen is old but functional and there is all utensils for cooking. Fridge is new. Close to the road, but it was ok, we stayed in April, no excess traffic or noise. We really enjoy our stay, i definitively recommend that house.

Perfect Yosemite Getaway
This property had so much character. We are a family of 7 . This place had everything we needed, enough beds, kitchen was stocked, ample towels, extra amenities just in case we forgot ours. The list goes on. Outside in the back yard there is a little creek that we could hear frogs. My kids loved catching them at night. The check in was simple and it had so many good markers to find it. We drove in to Yosemite each day. It was perfect for us.

Cool, rustic, well-located spot
Sharing time with family at Auto Camp just across the street, convenient to that and Yosemite Park. The space accommodated our party of four with two drop-ins while party prepping for an event, and was a perfect place to prep and recover from Yosemite Park outings. Right off the highway. I'd go back!

Wonderful home!
This home is so charming! Easy to find, spacious driveway, and in close proximity to Yosemite! Was so happy to be able to use a washer and dryer! Each room had its own charm. One room has a bathroom attached and the other bathroom is separate by the laundry area. The wifi worked great. Was nice to have a full kitchen to cook meals if we didn't want to drive about 10 minutes into Midpines for dinner. I would definitely stay here again!

Great mountain home near Yosemite
Our family loved our stay here! There was plenty of room for our family of 6, and we could have fit a couple more if needed. The home is dated, but that is really not even a concern, as the home was well kept up and it felt like a true mountain home. We had to reach the owner during our stay and he responded almost immediately and remedied a minor issue. It is 35 minutes to the park and the drive was not an issue. We would stay here again!

Vacation House in Midpines
Highland House was well suited for our needs. We wanted accommodations as close as we could get to Yosemite for 6 family members. There is a full kitchen with dishes, pots & pans, etc., plenty of towels. a good sized living room and a separate dining room. We enjoyed the Keurig coffee maker. The house is a rustic, comfortable place to stay.

One hour to Yosemite Gate/sleeps 8!
A good place if you’re looking for room for 8, a kitchen and two bathrooms, within 1 hour of Yosemite gate. Beds were very comfortable, however there is road noise if you’re a light sleeper. The entire place needs a thorough cleaning top to bottom. We had to clean the coffee maker, pots, mugs and cooking utensils. Having basic condiments and such was sure great. Overall, the consensus from our group was “fun rustic eclectic cabin away from the crowds with all the essentials”

Large family space near Yosemite Park
We enjoyed our time staying at this home and were grateful for the space, plenty of beds and close proximity to Yosemite Park. It was clean and well supplied with dishes and cooking utensils. The style is dated, but very comfortable. It sits right on highway 140 for easy access, however the car noise was a concern. We slept fine anyway especially after long days hiking in the park.

Home away from home
My entire family absolutely enjoyed our stay here!! It was not only a place to lay our heads, but so comfy, homey, and beautifully decorated!! The owners provided all that was needed, and then some. I would most definitely recommend to anyone considering Midpines!
