It’s in a campground as other reviewers have noted, but the cabin is in a very quiet spot, it felt private to us! "This was a very unpleasant experience. I had booked accommodation from March 31st to April 2nd, but on March 30th, I found out that the road to Mývatn was closed. I immediately contacted the hotel and other hotels to inquire about the possibility of a refund. When I confirmed again on March 31st, I discovered that the road to Mývatn was completely closed. However, the hotel insisted that it was the consumer's responsibility and refused to refund. I believe that in such a case of a natural disaster preventing travel, it is unfair to blame the consumer. This situation makes the accommodation unsuitable for staying."
