This hotel is excellent. We usually have a mini suite which is spacious and has great amenities. The cleanliness of the room is usually excellent but a little disappointed this time with the vacuuming. There were hairs and lolly papers in the lounge area that had been missed from the previous occupants.

Good quiet stay at the Kingsgate over Easter 2025. We missed the rains, but we could see the effects of it around the place. I still enjoyed my stay and friendly staff there.

Little Family getaway

First stay at the Kingsgate and absolutely loved it. Close walking distance to the restaurants, and main shops. Friendly and accommodating staff. Comfortable beds and parking. Our little daughter loved the pool. We stayed here overnight before a day trip out to Urupukapuka Island. Will definitely look for deals here when we visit again, but will include the breakfast option.

Perfect location, clean room with comfortable bed, walking distance to the wharf and restaurants. Please note that you can't check in before 2 and it seems that there are more rooms than parking places so when they are full you may not have a space.
