Designed as a refined Airbnb pied-à-terre, Ric’s Cottesloe reflects interior designer White Studio & Co’s signature approach: quietly luxurious, effortlessly composed, and grounded in lived experience.   
  
Set above Perth’s western shoreline, the apartment responds to its context with a palette of blues and browns — an ode to the Australian landscape and the calming pull of earth and ocean.  
  
Drawing from holidays spent abroad and a deep appreciation for proportion, materiality, and mood, the apartment captures old charm with contemporary grace — all within an unmistakably Australian setting.  
  
The space favours mood over motif; it’s not driven by trends but by intention — to create an atmosphere that’s subdued, grounding, and restorative.  
  
The material palette plays a central role. Microcement brings warmth and depth to the walls and floors. Handmade zellige tiles introduce movement and patina across benchtops and splashbacks.   
  
Custom-forged bronze hardware lends a tactile richness, while sculptural lighting from iconic European names — including Barovier & Toso and Audoux Minet — adds moments of refinement.  
  
Throughout, the furnishings reflect a conversation between local and international design. Antiques and classic European silhouettes are layered with select pieces by Australian designers — striking a balance between restraint and warmth, heritage and contemporary clarity.
