I booked last minute due to nasty conditions from the previous hotel. Holiday Inn was very nice, clean and customer service was great. My only complaint woukd be there were kids above us and they were jumping and banging very loud. The pool was very nice and clean. The property was very clean highly recommend

I enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn Fishkill and found it to be a comfortable place overall. The hotel has an attractive appearance, from the lobby and breakfast area to the well-kept surroundings. Although the room was a bit smaller than I expected, it was clean and comfortable. I appreciated the pool, hot tub, fitness center, 24-hour coffee and tea, and the good variety of breakfast options served from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The breakfast attendant kept the area spotless. The Wi-Fi was inconsistent at night, and the pool towels and elevator could be maintained more frequently. Front desk service was courteous but not always readily available.

There was a female women at the front desk made the check in simple and fast, and was very pleasant, clean rooms and public areas. Now the bad.......the elevator kept breaking down, we were on the fourth floor, I had surgery and with 4 kids and our luggage this was not a good. It could have been shared on check in that the elevators were going in and out of service.

When we arrived, I asked about the pool and was told by the clerk Nick (who also claimed to be the manager) that the pool was closed for maintenance, even though it was during open pool hours. We then asked for a discount because we should have been informed about this prior to our booking. After all, the rate includes all the amenities., Nick told us he could not give a discount and then he suggested that he cancel our reservation. We asked him to give us a few minutes to discuss it among ourselves. When we had made a decision, he told us that he went ahead and canceled our reservation. He did this without our approval and we were upset about that. When we insisted he give us a room, he refused. It was clear he did not want to deal with us. We ended up having to leave there and check into another nearby hotel. Then, a couple days later we noticed that they had to nerve to charge our credit card for the stay that never was. We subsequently filed a complaint with IHG and a dispute with our credit card company. This was the worst hotel experience we ever had. Please do not stay at this hotel.

The staff was very friendly & overall the property looks nice. However, there were at least 6 bugs in our room, 2 that were in the bed. According to Google, they weren’t bed bugs, ticks, or fleas (dogs were staying in the hotel) - but nonetheless made for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. Additionally, part of the reason why we picked this hotel was the pool & jacuzzi; unfortunately, the pool was freezing cold (like “cold plunge” cold, could barely even stand with just our feet on the top step because it was so cold) & the jacuzzi was cold too. The continental breakfast was okay, it was very picked over which is to be expected. It wasn’t too bad to stay for one night, but we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

The bathroom was so small I had to squeeze in next to the toilet to open the door to get in/out. Carpet in the room felt gross under my feet. Both outlets in bathroom didn’t work. Bed was sub standard, not plush at all, it was loud like it would pop when you got in. Pillows were flat. Breakfast was exactly what I would expect of a free breakfast, edible and nothing more. I used to like and look for holiday inn express but I think I will try to find another option

The elevator wasn’t working and the tv was broken in the first room I had. However, the young woman on duty at the desk did an outstanding job by carrying people’s luggage up to the 3rd and 4th floors and finding me a room with a working tv. As hard as she was working, she remained very friendly and was always smiling.
