Charming Waterfront Summer Cottage on Bay of Quinte

This summer waterfront cottage is perfect for small families, couples or groups looking for a great deck and killer sunsets.

**NEW 50-FOOT DOCK in 2024, complete with sitting area and swim ladder.**

**NEW PADDLE BOARDS option (waivers required).**

**5-NIGHT MIN in July/August only. Reach out for shorter stays off-peak season.**

The cottage is located on Big Island, facing north on the Bay of Quinte, with a longish, rolling property, 20 minutes from Picton, 30 minutes from Sandbanks and virtually everything else the county has to offer.

Enjoy beaching, wineries and artisanal ‘stuff’ by day, and board games, waterfront fires and sunsets certain to jack up your Instagram-cred by night.

This is a 2-bedroom (1 queen/2 twins), 1 bath (standing shower only) with a pullout couch in the living room to sleep 4 comfortably and 6 cozily.

WiFi, wood-stove if it gets cold, TV with DVD player (incl. early 2000s DVD collection), stereo with smartphone hook-up, and board game selection.

Kitchen comes stocked with vintage dishware to complement the vintage avocado cupboards. Standard appliances (incl. microwave, but no dishwasher or washer/dryer). BBQ on deck.

Linens, towels and basic sundries (TP, Kleenex, paper towels, dish/hand soap) provided.

Adventurous swimmers will be happy here (i.e., okay with rock shore, underwater weeds etc.). If you want sand and crystal clear water, you will prefer swimming at Sandbanks 30 minutes away.

The Bay of Quinte is a fisher’s paradise, so if that’s your thing, you’ve come to the right place. Baycrest Lodge and Marina is a 2-minute drive down the road if you want to launch and/or dock a boat during your stay.

Tap water is safe and drinkable.

Friendly neighbours on either side. Be sure to say hello during your [minimum] 5-day stay!

Classic Cottage
Classic cottage fully equipped with everything you'd need for a great cottage experience. We ended up never going to Sandbanks, and just swam off the dock. Great location for visiting local wineries, dining and Picton for shopping. thanks for a lovely stay in your charming cottage. The Watson

Restful country cottage
The property is well situated with a lovely lawn stretching down to the water. Nice views from lakeside chairs and from the large deck. Waterfront is limited in size , but swimming is ok with a shelving stony bottom. Need water shoes. The cottage itself is superbly clean and well stocked with cooking utensils. dining and drinking ware, etc. Beds were very comfortable. The cottage can be opened up to take advantage of the through breezes from the lake. Walking on the surrounding roads is pleasant. All in all, we enjoyed our stay (despite several rainy days). There are lots of games available to play.

Comfortable and relaxing
The cottage was wonderful, clean and had everything we needed and more for a holiday. Beds were comfortable and loved the chaise lounge to curl up with a book. The deck looking out over the water was very relaxing. Phil was very accommodating during the process and we appreciated him checking in to make sure everything was going well. A wonderful experience.

Quiet and relaxing cottage
We really enjoyed our stay at the property - the place was clean and comfortable. No issues with the water, A/C, or anything even though it was +29 for a couple of days. The dock and lake were lovely - though we only managed to catch 1 sunset due to overcast/smoke haze covering Ontario this past week. Our dog really enjoyed the spacious yard and it was a nice road to go for walks after dinner - no traffic! Phil was responsive and helpful. Will definitely consider this location again in the future!

Cozy clean cottage.
The property was the nicest on the street. We liked the size of the deck out back, could even do yoga there. I would suggest making a shelf on either side of the toilet for the toiletries. I find this missing in other cottages that I have stayed in too. It was a bit far from Sandbanks but we got used to the drive. We really enjoyed our get away and found you to be a very approachable landlord to deal with. We’ll definitely recommend this cottage.

Lovely fall getaway
We had a great holiday at the Tyne Off Too cottage. The cottage is right on the water and we were able to kayak everyday. The wood stove kept us toasty on cold days. We made visits to vineyards on rainy days and the beautiful county beaches too. The owner Phil is always responsive and super easy to deal with. What a treat! We can’t wait to visit again. Thanks so much Phil!

Cute Cottage!
Phil’s description of property and details were very accurate. Small but cute. Beautiful large deck and lots of green space for games. Swimming was not great, as described, but we brought a large blow up raft that helped. Only issue was the surfer smell of water... we ended up buying drinking water. Great stay otherwise!
