“This is a unique stay in the heart of the historic mining district. It was nice to walk around and see all the original log homes that belonged to the miners.
Our room and adjoining bathroom were both immaculate. It was nice to have use of the kitchen and dining room. The Auberge has a sitting area in the enclosed porch and outdoor patio seating.
It is unusual to remove your shoes at the door but I do understand.
I did not realize immediately that I had to lock the front door behind me (thought……
“I can't explain why, but the deds and bedding in this hotel is the best I've ever slept on.
I've stayed in the best of properties from Vancouver to LA to London and god knows how this hotel did better.
I ended up buying a set of their sheets even. I'd buy the bed if I wasn't flying ”
“L’endroit est un peu vieillot, mais les lits sont confortables, la chambre d’une belle dimension. Le service est vraiment génial! Les gens tout à fait gentil! Et juste pour le petit déjeuner qui n’est pas seulement un petit déjeuner continental plate, mais un déjeuner complète…..gaufres, œufs, saucisses ou bacon, patate, pâtisserie, céréales et fruits. Tout a été parfait dans notre séjour. Merci ”
