"Lovely spacious clean cottage, very well equipped. Owners were attentive nice people. Summer or winter very comfortable place to be. Good position for visiting lot's of places. Lovely patio to sit in looking out towards the cattle in the fields, watching sunset or rise! We would definitely stay again. Thank you."

"My friend, dog and I had a wonderful stay. The property was spotless, exceptionally well equipped and had the most comfortable beds. Fizz made us feel so welcome and the homemade bread and other treats we found in the fridge on arrival were such a thoughtful touch. The local area has so many wonderful things to explore. "We had a great experience while staying here. We had booked the two cottages for my mum's surprise birthday and I have a large family. This was a great place to do this as there was a pool which entertained us all and enough space that you weren't in each other's space. It had beautiful views and a hiking tail right on the doorstep for anyone interested in a lovely walk. It wasn't far to get to local shops/bars/pubs. I would stay here again"

Rang the number by the front door, and Kim was there within a minute to give me a tour of the property, and show me how to use the hot tub. The house is massive! "Good central location for Matlock (not up a hill). Park very close for dog walking. Very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Car parking a bit tight as mentioned but ok for a average car - the drive in is easy, backing out slow but no real problem. Very nice stay esp. the easy short walk to all central pubs and shops, after a day walking in the surrounding hills."

"Lovely cottage. The wood burning stove was much appreciated by all including our black Labrador! The central heating was very efficient once we’d found the boiler controls (in one of the twin rooms) Host checked in to make sure we had everything we needed but wasn’t at all intrusive. Beds very comfortable ! Can recommend the Scotsman’s Pack inn who (with some advance notice) catered for 42 of us for the Birthday meal !"

"6 adults (2 at 20) & dogs , one little & one medium . The cottage was better than expected , the pictures online are good but it’s even better when you are there . Really nice village & the local pub was great , we went twice and ate one night , food was delicious. It takes just 5 mins walk to the pub . Right next to a park and the river 3 mins walk ."

Brilliant event at Doubletree Hilton!
"We came to an event at the hotel: arrived early to get ready in our room, stayed overnight and enjoyed the buffet breakfast before heading home. Staff on reception were so lovely; always attentive and ready to help. The room was very comfortable and had everything that we needed. During the event we attended, the food was delicious and staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was good - pretty standard buffet breakfast - but the area didn’t seem to be very well stocked with cups/plates/cutlery etc. (drinks were being served in take-away cups) which, considering it was a Sunday morning following a large event, could probably have been better prepared for. Other than that, it was the perfect stay! "
