There are lots of things to see and do in Xiangshan, but venture farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Organize a set of wheels and you can roam around the greater area at your own speed. Add these fantastic destinations to your itinerary:

• Head to Keelung for a fantastic sightseeing experience. Approximately 55 miles from Xiangshan, it's home to lots of inspiring attractions such as Keelung Night Market.
• Roughly 45 miles away, Taipei is also a hit with wanderers. Make sure you take in Taipei 101 while you're in town. It's one of the reasons people love visiting this buzzing city.
• Spend time in the great outdoors and breathe in some fresh air at Kenting National Park. You'll find it about 200 miles from Xiangshan.

If you don't possess a driver's license issued in Taiwan, then you'll likely need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car. Also consider that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll have to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of ID as well.
