“My wife, dog and I stayed in the Parlour cottage at the end of August 2024. Please take note that they prefer cash or bankers transfer, Hotels.com does not take the money.
It is so relaxing and quite, this is down to the hands off way of the owners, Martin & Kate. We arrived and found a wonderful welcome pack waiting of Bread, milk, eggs and biscuits. The cottage is well equipped although some mobile service providers, (Vodafone) do not cover the area.

“A very different experience, a shame it was November so the weather wasn't great, but still a great experience.
Would definately recommend flip flops for the bus stop showers, as that floor was a tad painful. And a shame the shower with a view had suffered in the last freeze, would be great in summer.
Will consider a revisit in warmer weather if we need a place to stay in the area in the future.”

“Fantastic house for our family long weekend get together. 10 of us and a dog. The house was spacious and extremely well equipped for cooking up big meals. The garden / woodland is huge and we had so much fun playing games and enjoying an evening beverage. The house itself was perfectly located for walking and exploring the sweet town. “Location excellent. Grounds and gardens beautiful with plenty of wildlife.
Cottage quaint but in need of modernisation. Kitchen basic but needs new drawers as couldn't open many. Not much surface space to prepare food on. No where to keep supplies purchased other than work surfaces and fridge.
Shower was not great, needs to be attached to the wall. Could do with a proper electric one to be honest. Bathroom bin not emptied from previous occupier.
No wifi and phone signal not great. Not always a……
