“The house was beautiful and a perfect setting! We loved the blackberries in the garden, space for the bikes (although not secure), large rooms etc.. the double beds were pretty comfy, although the kids singles were a bit less comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped, excellent modern cooker, doors could shut so you didn’t have to wake the house up having a coffee-all great! Only downside was the tv, the Amazon stick did not work so we had no smart functions or Netflix etc..all fine but……

“This barn conversion is quite spacious, including a large entrance hall downstairs where you can leave wet and muddy gear if you get soaked in the rain like we did. The decor is a little tired in places, but overall it is a clean and comfortable place to stay. We appreciated there not being an additional fee for bringing a dog. The location is good, just a short walk from the centre of Dolgellau, with plenty to do in the local area. However, the map pin we were sent directed us to the north side……

“It is a lovingly extended stone cottage between a fast moving stream with a view and a country road. A very well equipped home from home , a perfect base for up to 4 ppl to explore the area. The owner is very responsive, and found her more reliable than the company managing the property.the ”

“We had a very nice stay at Gowel, cozy, well equipped with all you need, located in good area with easy access to attractions points and hiking areas. ”

“Second time we've stayed here and won't be out last. Plenty of space with large kitchen and living area, comfy beds and lovely little touches like biscuits, milk, coffee pods for the Nespresso machine and even a bottle of wine in the fridge. Perfect spot for Bala and exploring the surrounding area. Definitely recommended”

“No complaints at all. The WiFi tv takes a while to understand but thanks to Beatrice we got there. The bed size is perfectly adequate and the bed comfortable but we have a very large bed at home so our ‘free’ space was a little limited. We shall certainly visit again. An idyllic place to stay.”

“Ignore the unloved, unkempt garden that greets you. Inside is a TARDIS that is very clean and a good size with a large immaculate bathroom and generous bedrooms. Really enjoyed our stay.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Ideal location for Fairbourne and surrounding area - you need to go to Dolgellau, Barmouth and try the Precipice Walk and Creggannan Lakes which were lovely walks with stunning views. Nice to get some milk and Welsh cakes which were lovely. Cottage was clean and comfortable, only minor negative was limited information about what to do at check out time, local contacts etc. and there wasn’t much in terms of cleaning equipment apart from a broom so couldn’t do……
