Assess the whitecaps from the balcony and see who is kiting all the way from the Real Slick in Waves to the north end of Hatteras Island and all points in between. Walk downstairs to the yard and rig your kite on the lawn with the provided air pump and sandbags. Year-round, there are always instructors and other kiters to launch your kite, give you the scoop on local conditions, and arrange downwinders in the ocean or through the world-famous Planet of the Apes slicks, where you can land right at the condo.
