"Pet payment is cash only. The room wasn’t exactly clean. I had to go ask for a remote to the tv and there was no crib available. Also the ac in the room can’t be changed so we woke up ever time it kicks on and off. Not the best night sleep under the conditions and I don’t think it was worth the $150 plus cash for the dog that we paid. "

"My friend and I had a great stay here. The property feels very isolated but still close enough to "civilization" for you to pick up what you need, forgot, or ran out of during your trip. We went to a local gas station got extra ice and water and were back in about an hour. We did have a few encounters with wildlife (I'm no expert but one seemed like a bobcat which followed us while we were walking the puppy in the early morning, and the other looked like a wolf which kept its distance but still gave us a scare). Other than that it was pretty peaceful. We had to move cabins the second day of our visit due to some black mold in the bathroom of the first cabin. But the staff was very willining to accomodate by providing a different cabin for us to stay. We over packed a bit so moving our stuff and puppy twice was a hassle but afterwards we were able to settle in nicely. The grounds are well kept. Aside from some minor rutting along the exterior roads, our sedan was able to traverse the grounds with ease. There are dog poop stations throughout for those who may consider bringing their dog. The staff were very attentive and stopped by everyday to replenish our destination package amenities (coffee, hot chocolate, smores kit, popcorn, and tea) and any other items we requested such as fresh towels and washcloths. The cabin was equipped with everything advertised and allowed for us to have a very pleasant "home-away-from-home" kind of vibe. Thank you to the staff!"

"Do not eat at the Nietos Mexican Restaurant next door. All I ordered was queso and chips. Queso was vivid orange like cheeze whip, lumpy and got cold quickly. The chips are not fresh. Malakoff is just down the road.... The front desk clerk was nice but got impatient because I don't hear well and she had to repeat a lot. Those sconce lights are really bright. Could use a dimmer option. Overall, my stay was good. I would stay there again."

"I booked this room through Expedia.com. Upon arrival I was told there was no room available. I asked why and was told their computer system overbooked the hotel and since I booked through Expedia, there was nothing they could or would do. We had to go to another town to get a room. Later when I called and complained to Expedia a representative called the Super 8\. When she returned to me she said she was told that the Super 8 had a water heater failure and it affected a section of the building. Sounds to me Super 8 is lying about something. What I want to know is whether Expedia will do anything about a booking through their website that leaves travelers stranded. "
