Amazing stay at Villa Metisse!

Would highly recommend this property to anyone travelling to the Tamarindo area! The house had everything needed during our stay. Maricella truly made our experience. Her breakfasts were outstanding and the care/attention she gives to this property show in all the added amenities and cleanliness. Wish we had stayed longer!

Pura Vida

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay! Great property and convenient to the beaches and Tamarindo. Access to the beach club was a big added perk because we had littles and could do both beach and pool and have a shaded cabana where the littles could nap. The best part was having Mari! She makes a delicious breakfast every morning and does housekeeping to make our stay more relaxing! She is the sweetest!!! Good communication with Jose. It was Pura Vida!!

A great week!

A wonderful week in a perfect house for two families with 4 adults and 4 teens. The common room was perfect, the outdoor area and pool was great and the breakfast from Marcella was such a treat everyday. We enjoyed the Langosta Beach Club during the day, using the pool, beach, workout facility and lunch there. The location is a bit more than an easy to town, but we had a car and always found parking. Loved sharing this amazing town with friends.The owners were helpful and very responsive and we always felt safe. A wonderful week for sure.

Great vacation with family and friends

We love Costa Rica! This house has it all! Fantastic location! Best part of the house was Mari! She comes everyday, makes an amazing breakfast for the group! We had a group of 8, and then she cleans up! Also- she is super sweet! This was a great place and great trip!

Top Notch

The property was fantastic, exactly like the pictures, if not better. Location was also perfect, quiet, relaxing and only a 15 min walk to downtown. We also had access to a beach club which was only about a 6 min walk. Jose was very easy to deal with and replied to messages promptly. Mari arrived each morning to cook a delicious breakfast and kept the house clean. We could not have enjoyed our time more at this property!

Outstanding Home and Experience

The home is even better in person. The layout, space and decor are well thought out. Mari provided outstanding service and made us feel at home. We all looked forward to morning breakfast and she is an amazing cook. In addition the cleaning and laundry service she provided was very much appreciated. As for location, the trails that access both beaches from the community made it easy to get to the beach. The Longosta Beach club access was also a nice amenity and we used it. Restaurants nearby were also very good and it is a relatively short walk into town. Communication before and leading up to the trip was excellent and Jose provided quick response to any questions. This was a highlight of our trip and we hope to return soon. Highly highly recommend.

Villa Metisse Review

We spent the last week at Villa Metisse in Tamarindo with my family and my sister’s family. For 4 adults and 6 kids (ages 11 to 17), this house was absolutely perfect! There was plenty of space, it was extremely clean and stylishly appointed, and waking up every morning to a cup of coffee by the pool and a delicious, freshly prepared breakfast in the kitchen was absolute heaven! Speaking of breakfast, the cook and housekeeper, Maricela was THE BEST! She was so kind and encouraged our limited Spanish speaking skills. She helped with all sorts of things and insisted that we relax and enjoy. By the end of the week, she almost felt like family! When we accidentally made an error with booking our airport shuttle for our trip home (totally our fault), we went into panic mode, but Maricela reassured us and made a quick phone call to save the day and got us a last minute shuttle within minutes. We were so grateful! This villa was the perfect spot to stay in Tamarindo. Just far enough from the main hub to be nice and quiet, but still walking distance to many great restaurants and shops, and a very short golf cart ride to everything else. The Langosta Beach Club membership that came with the villa was an added bonus, and we enjoyed multiple days with a private cabana at the beach club, where they had a nice beachfront pool and delicious food and cocktails. If you’re thinking of visiting Tamarindo, Villa Metisse should be at the top of your list!!!

Wonderful Stay at Villa Metisse

Everything from Day 1 to Day 6 was a great experience. We have stayed at Villa's extensively in our travels in the last 20 years and this is one of the nicest ones with have stayed at. The Villa is located in an ideal location, with private access to the beach. It is close but not too far from Tamarindo and all of its restaurants and shops. We rented golf carts which is the ideal way of getting around. The Langosta Beach Club was great and well used. We cannot say enough about Maricela and how helpful she was and her breakfast was a perfect way to start the day and were delicious. Jose was also very helpful and very responsive. The only negative of our trip was that there was some construction right behind the Villa which did get noisy as the week went on. Over all we had a wonderful time and would recommend Villa Metisse. We had our family or 8 stay at the Villa and was more than confortable.

Incredible stay at the Matisse oasis!

Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Metisse. The property was drop-dead gorgeous and perfectly outfit for our stay. Our family has stayed in properties all over the world (and even in this same gated neighborhood in Playa Langosta) and our experience was among the best of any place we've stayed. The pool was our go-to place morning, afternoon, and evening. Such a relaxing spot to hang out with plenty of space (and awesome bird-watching/listening). Interactions before and during our vacation with JD and Anna were great - we felt very comfortable and well-informed throughout. And Maricela made sure that each day started perfectly with a delicious home-made breakfast and by keeping things very tidy around the home. I would also add that Jairo kept us perfectly set when it came to activities like a canopy tour, massages, etc. He's the man!! Don't hesitate to reach out to him - he's extremely knowledgable and helpful. All in all an amazing time that let us focus on relaxation, being together, and enjoying all of the lovely details of this gorgeous property. We'll be back!

Has Almost Everything and Then Some

This is the most well equipped unit we have ever stayed in. Very spacious, open floor plan which invites you to be poolside. What really makes this special is the wonderful lady that came every morning to cook us an amazing breakfast, clean the house and she even did the laundry. We can’t say enough good things about her. I was even able to improve my weak Español during the week. Also, communication with the owner was perfect…he always responded to questions, etc very quickly. The Langosta Beach Club is certainly a plus. Membership allows you to reserve a cabana and utilize the pool. I assume you can use the fitness center, as well. The only two negatives I can think of are that there is a fair amount of construction going on in the neighborhood and the beach access is a bit farther than anticipated. To be honest we like true beachfront properties when we travel and this is not that…which we knew going in. There are two beach accesses…one on the Tamarindo side and the other on the Langosta side. Both have a gate with an access code. One is about a 2 minute walk and the other is a bit farther. Other than that, this property is perfect.

Great House

Our family of 6 had a great time at the house. The layout was perfect for us with great open access to the pool and was very clean. The location was perfect with an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. We planned on getting a golf cart, but found it an easy walk to town. Maricella was fantastic as she cooked up a delicious breakfast every morning and even laundered and folded out clothes. Access to the beach club was also a very nice amenity that we used each day when we needed a break from the sun and the sand. Would recommend this house 10/10 for families or friend groups looking to relax and enjoy Tamarindo.

Excellent!

We loved our stay here. This was a great location close to town, restaurants and the beach. Everything was as advertised. Maricela made nice breakfasts, did laundry and ensured everything was in order for us. Would recommend staying here.

Great Place!

Overall everything about Metisse was awesome. Marie was lovely and showed us great hospitality. The host was also super accommodating with check-in which we really appreciated. Highly recommend to families traveling together or anyone who wants an excellent location, great pool+amenities, delicious breakfast, and super clean rooms. The closest beach was on the rocky side for our kids, but we had a car and drove to other beaches, no problem.
