“The property is located in a steep hill, which I have to say makes it more quiet, but it was difficult for Taxis and cars to get there. Beside sthis, the place is perfect. Staff is super nice and are always willing to help you with anything and everything. They only serve breakfast wich is super nice and delicious, healthy options and very complete. Less than a block away is this perfect little restaurant called New Garden. I tried almost every meal in the menu and I super recommend it for lunch……

“Amaru Colonial was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. It is a beautiful hotel with stunning views of Cusco from the patio. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The area felt safe and is a short walk to the city center. Breakfast each day was healthy and tasty. The staff went above and beyond with transporting and storing our luggage for a few days while we went to Machu Picchu at their sister hotel which we stayed at when we returned to Cusco. ”

“The hotel in general is pretty well maintained. It does not have a lift, so you need to prepare to carry the luggage up to your room, yet the receptionist are able to help carrying the luggage if you ask for help. The location of the hotel is pretty well and it only takes 5 to 10 mins walk to get to the Square from the hotel. We found the hotel receptionists very helpful. My wife had her lips hurt when playing the sand boarding at Huacachina the day before getting to Cusco. The receptionist is……

“Gluten free bread on the breakfast spread people - game over this wins! Ambiance, cleanliness, day of massage arrangements, cozy hot water bottle to warm the bed when we arrived so late after some travel hiccups. Had a balcony room and it was a lovely spot to sit. Doors not soundproof, and sound carries floor to floor up the central stairs. If the hotel calls a taxi, they come right up, but if your taxi drops you off you might get dropped a block or two away due to narrow/one way/not……

“Amazing stay! Cannot rate this hotel highly enough. We stayed in the deluxe suite and it was exactly, if not better, than advertised. You can see into the mountains from a king bed through 2 huge windows. The staff is so kind and helpful. The free breakfast was a wide spread of food and was delicious and there was free coco tea all day to help with the altitude. 10/10 recommended for Cusco”

“Clean room. Service is excellent from room cleaning to the reception. Shout out to Alberto, he is very helpful and attends to our needs for our 7 day stay at this hotel. Plaza de Armas is short distance walk (7 mins walk). Going down to plaza de armas is easy but going back to the hotel is a struggle because of the uphill hike and dealing with Altitude. I suggest to take the uber going back to the hotel, it only cost me around $4-4.40 US (15.50 soles). For me, the hotel is worth it, hot water is……
