“The lodge has a lot of potential and is set in a beautiful, peaceful location that’s perfect for a quiet getaway. The surroundings were serene, and the atmosphere was relaxing, which we really appreciated. However, the cleanliness was disappointing. There was noticeable dust on furniture and surfaces, and we found cobwebs in the corners of the room and near the ceiling. It made the space feel less well-maintained than expected. “Generally good, clean & well equipped. We did have problems with the shower which would only maintain temperature for approx 1 min & then would turn freezing cold. The only way to reset it was to turn it off & back on again for another 1 minute warm shower. Otherwise a nice property with comfy sofas & good value for money. ”

“This is an absolutely charming glamping option, with the railway carriage beautifully converted to very cosy accommodation for one or two. In summer, it's lovely to spend the evening in the small but very comfortable seating area. While the carriage is in the garden of a large house, sensitively applied fencing and planting means that it feels very private to the glampers. All the essentials are in the kitchenette, the shower is great, the bed is very comfortable - everything has been thought……
