"The apartment was nice and comfortable. It's on a dead end street. So, its a bit complicated getting picked up and dropped off. If you are driving, you're fine because there's a garage. Its not in walking distance to any food or grocery stores. So, if you stay here you will need a car or some type of transportation. The check in process was not great. We had to wait till 5pm because they had not seen our reservation. So, I had to wait at a friend's house. Things happen, I understand that. So,...

"The gem of this hotel are the views of the rooftop both during the day and night. Room was good, but located on a busy street and you hear the vehicular traffic going down the hill all night long. Staff were great and breakfast was delicious."

Friendly staff, exceptionally clean hostal. For budget travelers looking to find a safe, clean, comfortable place to stay I highly recommend La Joya. The front desk staff speak English and Spanish. My stay included breakfast and it was well worth the additional fee. I also ate in the attached restaurant one evening and the portion was enormous and the food was delicious. There was a rooftop balcony that works well if you are a remote worker or just want to relax and meet fellow travelers at the...

We really enjoyed our stay in the small, one-story cottage at the rear corner of the property, accessible through the beautifully appointed side courtyard. Staff was very accommodating when we arrived past the regular breakfast time because of flight changes due to weather.

A couple had a very busy night in the room across ours. Very loud walking (?) and screaming almost all night. This shouldn't happen in a family friendly hotel.

Absolute gem of a property near Casablanca. If you're looking for a quiet small getaway near wine country, this is perfect. Christian was very welcoming and we had a great dinner and breakfast.

This was the best place I could have chosen for my week long visit to Valparaiso! Set atop a small hill a mile south of Sotomayor Square the guest house is in a more quiet neighborhood. This area is convenient for visiting the UNESCO areas, but much more peaceful and safe for walking around. The room (I chose #3) had a view of the garden/ courtyard and was always cool and comfortable even in the hot weather. All furniture in the hotel is recycled/repurposed from other uses. Great views from the room balconies, the breakfast area and the rooftop bar. The service was excellent and the breakfast offerings varied and great quality.

Muy cerca de La quinta Vergara , hay que tener en cuenta el regreso a la madrugada es muy solitario y nos pareció un poco peligroso aunque no nos pasó nada
