“Only one poor girl left on her own to manage the busy bar and checking area. We waited ages to order. Quite a few frustrated customers around us too who missed out on even getting a drink in the bar as last orders 1030pm but she couldn’t get to serve us because she was too busy. More staff needed ”

“A warm welcome , a good meal , a relaxing bath , a comfortable bed and a quiet location, what more can you ask for. have stayed at this hotel many times in the past, and have always been made very welcome . It’s not the most chic hotel in the world, but definitely has the important features sorted. The restaurant menu is simple but good and reasonably priced. The breakfast is good value and varied. The staff are lovely, helpful and friendly and a credit to the hotel. A special mention must be……

“Intérieur de l'hôtel propre, par contre parking très sale avec des détritus sur les places. Chambre décevante, il n'y a pas de bouilloire contrairement à ce qui est indiqué sur le site. ”

“Ideaal gelegen nabij de Grote Markt van Ieper. Altijd vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Basic maar lekker ontbijt. Altijd tevreden als single reiziger. Voor 2 personen vind ik de kamers ( en het bed) aan de kleine kant. Minpunt: geen airco. ”

“The Albion is a gem in Ypres; the staff are so friendly and speak impeccable English. The room was delightful, crisp white sheets, sweets on our pillows. Secure parking and a wonderful breakfast. Thoroughly recommend. ”

“Service impeccable mais petites chambres étriqué. Salle de bain fonctionnelle et propre mais manque de luminosité. Trop de lumière et mal pensés. Certainement un effort à faire pour mettre un coup de neuf à la peinture. Par ailleurs, je regrette qu'il n'y ait pas de bouilloire pour le thé et les tisane. ”

“Reception was very pleasant, but room was bland and cold. Room requires thermostat on radiator - when turned on it heated the room well but then needed to be turned off before the room got too hot. Room needs decoration such as pictures on wall - bland white walls. King bed was two singles pushed together and a sheet over the top. We arrived in the dark and it was raining. Carpark is not lit well and I nearly drove into the fishpond! Saving feature was the restaurant food, which was……

“De plaats en omgeving waren super. Geweldig uitzicht! Het eten was ook heel lekker. Alleen jammer dat er geen "simpele" of andere gerechten, naast die van de menu te verkrijgen waren. Het is een groen hotel, maar airco of andere verfrissing tijdens de warme dagen waren nodig. Ook mocht de kamer een update krijgen. De bedden en de kussens waren dan wel weer aangenaam. Over het algemeen fijn verblijf, met heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. We misten enkel wat comfort.”
