The home is a short drive (25-30 min) from the Big House, so it was perfect for a UM football weekend. If you're looking for a quiet escape with EVERYTHING you could think to need for a week on the lake, this is it. Our family of 5 had an amazing trip out from CA. Can't wait to be back.”

“This was a nice rental for our family trip to Detroit. It had all the things we needed-full kitchen with dishes, laundry, bathrooms as well as central air (we stayed in June 2023). It’s a historic house, so it has a different feel than a modern house, but it had all the amenities that were needed. The only thing that could be somewhat of an issue is the iron railings on the stairs for little ones or the elderly. A high chair or booster and or pack n play to use would have been a bonus, but we……

“My two young daughters (8 & 11) and I loved the house. It's tucked away in a small neighborhood right next to downtown Howell, nice and quiet on an inlet to the nearby lake, with everything you would want within 5-10 minutes (groceries, restaurants, pharmacy, etc.). The house is perfectly stocked in the kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms which was nice, and the host was very gracious and responsive. The house itself was the perfect size for us but could've held a few more people easily. It had……

“My family was coming out for a Michigan Football game and wanted to enjoy the rest of the weekend at a lake house and this place fit the bill perfectly. Great location, lots of room plenty of amenities and a beautiful lake. If we come back around the area we would consider staying again.”

“Spent Christmas here with family, was a perfect central gathering spot for all relatives from different areas. Well equipped kitchen for cooking, plenty of dishes and glassware. Comfortable furniture and mattresses. Felt very at home. Great yard for 2 small dogs to run around. Quiet neighborhood.”

“First and foremost, Shane, the renter, was amazing to deal with. Always answered my questions quickly. Home was perfect for a girls weekend celebrating a 50th birthday. The location is amazing on the lake. Saw a loon, a swan and an albino squirrel. Kitchen had plenty of everything you need. Beds were SUPER comfortable. Some things are a little dated, but never bothered us. I can't wait to plan another girls weekend here!”

“This is our 2nd time staying at Patricia’s lovely home. My bother is ill and the hospital is in close proximity so we had no hesitation in booking another week with her. She is a wonderful host, responds immediately, addresses concerns quickly - although nothing was major - and genuinely cares about her renters. If we have to go back to this area again we are not wanting to stay any place else. It is warm and comfortably designed, thank you again for sharing your beautiful home!”

“Due the weather we did not use the hot tub or lake activities. The home is well maintained, clean and as advertised. The host was available to answer questions. Instructions tor arrival were clear. Two minor issues: The house number is not available from the street. It would be nice if the number is on the house by the street. There are four ceiling fan/light remotes. The batteries were dead or missing, so the controls wouldn't work. We replaced the batteries so we could control them.”
