Just 8 miles from York, this is an ideal property for that family break with attractions locally for all ages.. Ground Floor:

Living room: Freeview TV, DVD Player, CD Player, Gas Fire

First Floor:

Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed

Bedroom 2: Single (3ft) Bed

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Small courtyard with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Nestling in the heart of the village of Wheldrake, this semi-detached cottage provides a comfortable holiday base within easy reach of the village amenities including a convenience store and village pub which serves traditional fare. The historic city of York is just 8 miles away and there are regular buses into the centre, or easy access from the park and ride at the designer outlet (5 miles). York appeals to all ages with its abundance of attractions including the iconic Minster, National Railway Museum and Jorvik Viking Centre. There are street entertainers and ghost walks along the cobbled alleyways, numerous festivals and markets throughout the year and a wide choice of inns, restaurants and tearooms. Wheldrake Ings, a significant conservation area and nature reserve is close by and the Yorkshire Air Museum and Museum of Farming provide a fascinating insight into the past, whilst throughout the summer lots of family fun can be found at the York Maze. The North York Moors, Yorkshire Wolds and the Heritage coastline are all easily accessible. Shop, pub and restaurant 600 yards, Italian café 800 yards. Golf course and four fishing lakes all within 2 miles of the cottage.

Very nice cottage

The cottage was clean and very nice. There is parking behind the building, but we had a mid-size SUV & it really didn’t fit! Other than that, a very enjoyable stay in a lovely, friendly village!
