Embark on an unforgettable excursion that will take you to discover dreamlike landscapes, crystalline lakes and ancient forests. We leave from Bariloche along the iconic National Route 40, crossing streams and rivers that paint the road with natural postcards. As we cross the western end of the imposing Nahuel Huapi Lake, the Limay River welcomes us and marks the limit between the provinces of Río Negro and Neuquén.
We enter the Newbery pampa, a vast territory that leads us towards Rincón Chico. From there, we skirt the Limay River until we reach Rincón Grande, home of the impressive natural Amphitheater, whose rock formations are reminiscent of an ancient Roman coliseum.
The journey continues towards the magical Enchanted Valley, where the whimsical shapes of the rocks seem straight out of a story. Upon arriving at Confluencia, we will witness the embrace between the Traful and Limay rivers, a spectacle that connects us with the majesty of Patagonia.
Following the course of the Traful River, we immerse ourselves in a coihue forest that guides us to the Traful viewpoint, a natural balcony that offers panoramic views of the lake. After visiting the charming Villa Traful, we advance towards Puerto Arrayán and the El Portezuelo area, where we join the famous Route of the 7 Lakes.
Between dense forests and reflections of pure water, we border Lake Espejo until we reach the picturesque Villa La Angostura. Here, you will have time to have lunch (lunch not included) and explore its charming shopping center. Later, we head to the port and visit the quiet Mansa and Brava bays, as well as the historic El Mesidor Residence.
The return is just as magical: we skirt the Huemul Arm of Lake Nahuel Huapi, crossing the Huemul Peninsula with views that take your breath away. Finally, we took RN 237 to return to Bariloche, taking with us the infinite beauty of this land of lakes and mountains.
