Its winemaking tradition has endured through the centuries, with references to vine cultivation at Mas de Ondara dating back as far as King James I’s Llibre del Repartiment from 1237. Surrounded by century-old olive trees, Mas de Ondara is part of a family project that revives the oenological, agricultural, and cultural roots of the Guadalest Valley through the restoration of four historic farmhouses and their estates. Settled in this valley for generations, the Vidal Balaguer family is reviving their winemaking legacy after 100 years of inactivity with the opening of their winery in Benimantell.
