I had a Great stay at the Sunset! The Tree House Rooms are the Best! Surrounded by lush gardens that are well maintained daily. The overall Staff is outstanding ! The small Boutique setting allows for the dining experience and the preparation of the food to have the real Jamaican flavors to be experienced. From the curried dishes, stewed, and Jerk seasoning dishes the food was quite delicious! As in many of the Carribian Islands I’m seeing more cats on the resort premises. I understand their purpose. Unfortunately I’m not a “cat lover” so it was a little annoying for me to enjoy some meals in the dining area while the Guest are feeding the cats while their also eating dining. I know the cats purpose and if Guest are feeding them…

Riu it’s always a great time, it’s a party resort you don’t really come there for anything else lol food was edible. And we were able to go to the other hotel Riu Montego Bay, and eat lunch there and go to their parties. I only got to try the buffet and the snack bar. You had to have reservations for everything else which everything was booked the whole time we were there. The jerk chicken hut was good on the beach as well.

This was our first time in Negril and first time staying at an RIU property. Overall, it was a great hotel however they charge you $5 if you lose a room key. We were traveling with a group of 32 family members and the food at the restaurants were not the best. However, the buffet for breakfast and dinner were not bad. The property is well maintained and the rooms were always clean.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing. Had no trouble making reservations for any of the restaurants a day ahead of time. Buffet was very delicious with only a few minute wait to be seated. The beaches and pools were wonderful. Loved the shows every night!

Food and entertainment were great. I've stayed at 10 all inclusive resorts and been on over 20 cruises, primarily on Royal Caribbean, which is known for their entertainment and while Riu Ocho Rios' entertainment was not quite at the quality of Royal Caribbean Cruises, it is the only all inclusive resort that I can think of that clearly invest in their entertainment. The specialty restaurants are subpar and I would be willing to pay an up charge for higher quality specialty restaurants. The Jamaican food was very good.
