We only stopped for one night and found the proprietors very friendly and knowledgeable about the area for things to see and do. The room was very clean with good facilities and nice and warm. The full English breakfast in the morning was delicious and I struggled to finish it.

The rooms were comfy but fairly small - bathroom was fairly basic no space to put a bath bag.
We were charged £15/day for parking which I think is a bit steep when you have already paid for a room, its not v welcoming when you arrive.
The spa facilities were excellent, probably the best in the area.
Room service food (after 9pm) was pretty poor. lukewarm soup, stale sandwich. breakfast was fairly good though.
