Entire facility, and most importantly, our room, was very clean. Beds were comfortable, and rooms were quiet. Checkin was very easy, staff was friendly, and gave us restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was also very good, with lots of options. First time at a Fairfield hotel. Will definitley be staying at a Fairfield again, and will stay at this site, also, when we travel through Cedar Rapids again.

Room was pretty clean except for desk chair. It had to be 50 years old and was stained badley from age. It also sat very close to floor. I went to sit down and about fell on floor. There was no other chair for us to sit on, just the bed. There were no washcloths, only towels. Water pressure in shower was very low. As for building upkeep, there were several water leaks in the lobby and bar area. The 2 gentlemen that checked us in and out were very nice.

I booked almost two months in advance for a deluxe king room. Come to find out that the manager changed my booking to a double bed room. I got no notification at all on it. Everything - email and my hotels app - still said deluxe king. The only saving grace was a staff member (his name starts with an F) who managed to get me a Queen since the Kings were all booked - despite booking in advance. I had it set to not charge my card until I got there. I arrived at 2:43pm. My card was charged around 12pm. The flooring needs updated. The back of the remote was missing and didn't seem to work. The microwave needed plugged in, and the freezer of the mini fridge needed to be wiped out. The property needs maintained better - litter in the back, covering the grass. It's decent for a cheap stay. Above all, I didn't appreciate my booking bring messed with. I booked what I wanted. Nothing is more irritating than lugging your things to your room to find out it isn't what you booked when you open the door. Maybe look into more competent management. Bookings should be honored - especially when made MONTHS in advance. Other than that? It was fine.
